The Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre was expected to open back in February but it’s now expected to open in November. It looks ridiculously good.
Thanks lovelykuwait

I wonder what will it be used for?! There are usually not that many cultural activities taking place. I hope this will change that.
There are lots of cultural activities taking place all the time. Just check out the DAI schedule and thats just the DAI not including the other ones by other organizations.
There’s also kw nccal tons of cultural events… There is one tomorrow! Chinese
Kuwait is missing stuff but cultural events isn’t one of them haha
What about the museum being made next to Shaab Park any update on that when will it open. Thanks
It will be open in May 2017
I’ve heard the Cultural Centet will be opening either August or September. Since it has more or less 10 you can expect multiple performances on one night. The plans for this Cultural Center/ Opera House is to bring world class acts to Kuwait and I believe the first to perform there will be Les Miserables. Next to the museum that’s set to be open next year is going to be AlSalaam Palace that was destroyed during the Iraqi occupation. Things are changing. All these projects have had 2 year construction dates and are following through on it for the most part especially since the Diwan Al-Amiri is overseeing these projects.
I believe this the Sabah Al-Ahmed Cultural Center, not Jaber Al-Ahmed.

I stand corrected.
heard that there will be an opera house in there , not sure ?/
I sincerely hope they implement an online ticketing and seat reservation system. The current “first come first serve” system is a fiasco, even if its free.
Paying a minimal charge to selec and reserve seats in advance will control the flow of traffic and save everyone the embarrassment of “saving seats” for friends and family
And I really hope they do away with the ridiculous VIP seating sections
Is there a web site for the project, to understand more how it’s operating , which body is operationally managing the different parts of it ? And how to get contact to them .
