I’ve had my Tumi suitcase for 6 or more years now and it just won’t die. Don’t get me wrong, I love my Tumi but I’ve also had my eye on an aluminium Rimowa for sometime now. I saw a badly beat up and dented one at an airport a few years ago and even though the suitcase wasn’t in its best shape of its life, it had a lot of character and I fell in love with it right away. I decided I would get one as soon as my Tumi fell apart but that day doesn’t seem like it will be coming anytime soon.
I travel a lot and my Tumi bag (pictured above) is my favorite and primary suitcase which I take with me wherever I go. I’m not very gentle with it, I’m abusive and I really throw it about and expect it to take my shit with no questions asked. The wheels have probably taken the most amount of abuse from me and yet they’re still in perfect condition. The suitcase is bullet proof (probably literally).
After all these years of my Tumi putting up with me, I figured it was time I’d be nice to it and show my appreciation with a post on the blog. So if you’re looking for a durable travel suitcase I can’t recommend Tumi enough.

I know you’re talking about an inanimate object in the second paragraph but I still found it really jarring. I sadly don’t understand black humor.
I wasn’t trying to be funny though so you’re ok.
Hey Mark, the early 2000’s called, they want their TapouT sticker back.
Hey Murrka, the early 90s called, they want their “hey (so and so) tired, old joke back.
Don’t be a dick.
Mark did say that he bought the bag six or more years ago.
Hey musical loving douche, how about getting a sense of humor? And if Mark really did get offended, he still doesn’t need you to fight his battles for him.
Musicals?
If that was humor then honey, you is lost.
Wow. How strong did that wind gust feel over your head just now?
+1
Samsonite SPIN TRUNK FTW, Sooo light yet rugged with no bents whatsoever, I’ve had it for a couple of years now and it’s been great other than the zipper breaking once which was totally my fault, But it was fixed by Samsonite servers center under their lifetime warranty which great since they have one here.(even though I bought it abroad)

I find the new Rimowa with the electronic tag feature really cool.

I know its just a gimmick, but damn thats coooooooool!
You could give away your Tumi to-me! Think about it..
Try to get RIMOWA the best …expensive but worth it!
hi mark, “Purdy Neat Things” check them out. it’s what i use. almost 99% of all professional airline crews use. it will be the best rolling carry on you will ever have.
mine is 22+ year old and except for replacing the wheels bullet-proof. i used to have a “halliburton suitcase” all metal but it’s junk compared to the purdy neat.

Samsonite Black Label Cosmolite.
When Are you giving it away… 😉 I’ll pick it up…
Tumi is much better than Rimova any day
yup which is why if i was to get another bag now it would be another tumi. the rimowa reviews on amazon were so horrible i think rimowa pulled all their products off amazon so nobody would read the reviews anymore. you can’t find rimowa on amazon anymore
Yeah absolutely, I got one from Jashanmal which was equally pathetic
bluesmart enjoyment in travel delays
the best is Samsonite Firelite Spinner – only 2.9 kilo, durable and robust.
