The Mabanee 2014 annual report recently got released and with it some updated information on the Avenues Phase 4 project:
– There will be two hotels not one, a five-star hotel and a four-star hotel
– The final new districts are: Arcadia, Electra, The Forum, The Grand Plaza and The Cinema
– Grand Avenue, Prestige and the Souk will all be expanded as well
– The new opening has been pushed back to the first quarter of 2018
Mabanee, the mall’s owning company is also building The Avenues Riyadh, The Avenues Khobar and The Avenues Bahrain. The total Phase 4 expansion will be adding 400 new stores to the Avenues, taking the total up to approximately 1200 stores. I honestly have no idea what else is still left to open, we pretty much have everything already as it is.

They need to include a train that takes you from one end of the mall the other. I’m disappointed they didn’t include a theme park like the one in Mall of America. If they had some kind of entertainment then people would be like ‘hey, I’m going to the Avenues, I’ll be back in a couple of days’ did they mention more parking spaces?
They already have two parks, kidzania and the other one next to the food courts
Hope they open the british primark..its cool for acessories and stuff
I wouldn’t be surprised if one day it ges extended across the highway to the other side.
The same setup as marina mall.
They need to have a service where all your shopping can dropped of at points of the mall then you can pick them up at one destination so you don’t have to carry so many bags or go to your car constantly during sale time. They do want you to shop so why not provide a service! Or higher a porter by hour
They actually have a Porter service.
That picture looks like the architects were playing a lot of Mario Kart
This sounds so exciting, I wonder if they’ll bring HMV to The Cinema (because a district that’s possibly movie-themed should totally have a store like HMV and not just a ginormous cinema)
I hate to break this to you but HMV is no more. Online music purchases and streaming have destroyed it
this new phase looks fantastic with its futuristic theme. Cant wait to see it in person. The Avenues is surely the place to be in Kuwait right now.
