Actually those are cheap but the only issue I have is the infrastructure (i.e. Roads) to drive the car on. Once the roads do improve in Kuwait then I would like to get one.

Would I want to own one? Of course. Its cheaper than what I’d expect in the US.

But… With the traffic, bad roads and the ever changing traffic regulations, why would anyone buy this in Kuwait?

Our roads aren’t bad at all. They’re boring yes but as roads they’re great. I’ve been driving my Lotus for the past year and no issues at all with the roads.

You haven’t been to certain areas – try Sulaibiya, Jahra, the 30 to Ahmadi from Messila, the emergency free lane in traffic pileups, etc. My Genesis had to change tires twice!

Why would I go with a Ferrari 488 to Sulaibiya or Jahra? Obviously, when I say the roads are great I don’t mean the roads Khaitan or Jleeb. I mean main roads, like the highways, the city, the seaside road etc..

But one of the examples you gave isn’t actually that bad, the 30th to Ahmadi from Messila. Whats wrong with it? The traffic, sure, but as a road its good.

You’re just lucky enough not to need to take certain roads, like the construction in administrative shuwaikh and most residential areas where the new highway is being built, and also the last asphalt change was a disaster. The sewage line on bridges used to just stick out from the rest of the road. I already changed one rim, and still need to replace two since that time.

Some of the roads in Kuwait are pretty bad. The 40 for example has cracks all along and the barriers on the side (on the same road) have cracked all over too. Same is the case with roads in Rumaithiya, near the coop…feel’s like just the roads experienced some sort of an earthquake and have cracked every few meters! Compared to some of the Gulf countries I have been to like Bahrain, UAE and OMAN, I’d say Kuwait’s roads are in pretty bad shape.

Do they sell the floor models or do you have to order and wait for your car to be made in Italy? I say this because I doubt they have them in stock like a Mercedes or a BMW dealership.

My guess is that’s the pricing for the lowest optioned models (least amount of CF used and such) but still quite low pricing compared to anywhere else and huge waiting lists on certain cars like the Superfast.
Regular roads here are OK (as long as you completely cover your car with nano guard etc to protect against chips and such) but the traffic bumps are often the real issue. even with the lift optioned out the cars will bottom out on particularly nasty ones from what i’ve seen on my friends’ cars.

Bottom out? You mean on speed bumps when the car touches the bump or do you mean bottom out as in the suspension bottoming out? cuz I can’t imagine that happening unless they were speeding and fly over a bump or something.

yeah like the suspension touches the bump. that happens even on normal cars here bc our bumps are so massive or sometimes so weird shaped or just broken

Ah yeah that’s not the suspension bottoming out, nor is it the suspension that’s hitting the bump. When the car scrapes a bump it’s just because the car is really low and so doesn’t have much clearance. I luckily don’t have that issue with the lotus because the wheelbase is so short.

aha i see i was saying the wrong thing but this is what i meant i guess. that’s nice that u dont have this issue bc ur car is a lotus and they are really sports and low but bc they are so small and the wheelbase is short u can safely navigate over these hellish speed bumps! i feel sorry for sports cars with really long wheel bases and low suspension like Ferrari’s etc. That’s why Porsches do well here bc they are essentially supercars yet they have kept their same proportions and short wheelbase that is perfect for our bumps!

I did and i was greeted with awful cheap 90’s like flash graphics for the page!! “I was surprised that such a prestigious company like Ferrari has made such a massively tacky and annoying webpage for their flagship model car! It was even annoying to navigate through the page like while simply scrolling the page was dragging down to revel a more info etc, it just felt so disjointed and almost broken javascripting all over the place lol and that silly message of “shift into the 12th dimension” whatever that means… wth Ferrari lmao!
