My favorite gym gloves are Harbinger and I’ve been using them for nearly two years now. I had a hard time finding them back then since there were limited places that sold them and not only did I have trouble finding the right model I also had a hard time finding the right size. Over the weekend I noticed Go Sport started carrying the Harbinger brand as well and they had a huge collection of gloves on display as well as support belts. So if you’re interested in new work out gloves you should pass by before they also run out of models and sizes.

Do yourself a favor, use chalk. You’ll improve grip strength and feel stronger on your lifts. Chalk > gloves > straps.
I’ve got horrible grip strength but I like gloves since i don’t have to worry about blisters. I hate blisters.
My grip strength sucks too but it’s improved a lot thanks to chalk. Chalk will keep your hands reasonably blister free. You’ll never improve your grip if you keep using gloves or straps. Better deal with the problem now before it gets to the point where your grip strength is disproportionally weak in comparison to what you’re actually capable of lifting. Give it a try, you’ll like it.
well I only started using straps recently to help me lift some of the weights (100lbs and up) since there was no way I could keep a grip with just gloves. I don’t I could grip them with just my bare hands… maybe for my first set (maybe) but definitely not anything after that.
chalk is messy dude, just don’t use anything and soon you’ll be like Bo3antar!
Mark, You should try Bionic Gloves. they are very engineered and reduces stress the most.
i used to use H for a while nut after using these i went back and got two more spares. I got them from the states. dont think they sell them in Kuwait,.

I work on my calisthenics bare handed and I need chalk!
Where can I find chalk powder?
gym gloves? really? come on man…. if ur getting blisters in the gym means ur hands arent rough enough. Just don’t use the gloves for a few months and u will never need to use them again….
Some people have soft hands that will always get blistered to some extent regardless of how long you lift. I’m one of them.
yeah i think thats me, i mean maybe 6-12 months down the line my hands would get rough but i dont want to wait that long to lift heavy weights without gloves.
Off topic, but where can I get good aluminum platform pedals (no clips) for my mountain bike? The one model at Extreme Sports is pure crap. Does Go Sport sell any?
jensonusa.com or amazon.com
also good sneakers help with grip. i wear my nike gym trainers and they offer horrible grip with my pedals.
Thanks Mark. JensonUSA.com is a treasure trove. I will order some decent pedals and Avid BB7 brakes 🙂
lulz, i was going to write the same haha..good one 😉
on the contrary, i feel that gloves enhances your grip and makes you have more control. Gloves also help sweaty hands
