I’m a big fan of ecommerce websites especially local ones since there aren’t that many of them. My Athath is a new one thats just soft launching today and focuses on furniture and home accessories.
What I liked about My Athath is the style of the furniture thats currently on there for sale, most of which I wouldn’t mind having at my place. They currently have 13 brands at launch, a mixture between local and international ones with the aim to have a lot more added soon. Personally I hope the furniture is curated in some sort of capacity so the website doesn’t become overwhelming to just randomly browse through with too many items. The way it is right now everything on there is pretty much hot except for the Coleman items which seem out of place.

Is there anyway we can physically examine the items before committing?
theres a returns policy on every item you click on based on the store of that products policy. but in general all of them (after you pay though) will deliver the item to your desired location, place it where you want it, and then if you decide you don’t like it you can send it back with them and receive a refund.

Compared to… IKEA? or compared to Roche Bobois? cuz expensive is relative, it’s more expensive than IKEA yes but its cheaper than Roche Bobois. If your salary is 200KD yes its expensive, if your salary is 3000KD no its not expensive. See what I mean?
Well, I earn that much and I would never buy a chair for 850 KD or a side table for 370 KD.
If Roche Bobos is expensive then what do you call Fendi Casa, Hulsta, Baker, and all the other stores at Tilal

prices are all priced by the actual stores/vendors ..not by the website, prices on the website are the EXACT prices of the items in the physical store.
you guys throw the word rip off around without knowing what the word means. Because you can’t afford it or because something is expensive doesn’t mean its a rip off. This is an example of what the word rip off means:
iPhone X 64GB actual price is KD353. If a place is selling that same iPhone X for KD500 then thats a rip off price. But lets say you find KD353 expensive, does that mean the shop selling it at KD353 is ripping people off? No, it just means that you find that price expensive.

It depends on the quality and the brand. If it’s a luxury brand, those prices are normal.
If it’s just a local designer, yes it’s a rip off and not worth it.
The design is brilliant, but it will be cheaper to hire someone to build one for you from scratch… Just a thought, cheers.
