I found this lamp at Sultan Center and its called LivingColors by Philips. The lamp can project light in over 16 million different colors in which you can control by a color wheel on a remote control. It looks really cool but I am still trying to figure out if its worth KD64. You can try it out at Sultan Center, they have a live one on display for you to play with. More information available on the Philips website. [Link]
Here is also a YouTube video of the light in action. [YouTube]

Thats kind of funky… it needs the right place to put it!
It’s definitely cool and I would love to have something like this in my room. But…. KD64?! :-s
i’m definitely going to get it
what about lifespan?
thats retarded its just like a lamp that changes colors, i can get a flashlight that does the same thing for 100 fils in the bakala
will the bulb get burnt after 4 months ?
Philips has a similar product it’s a plasma TV that glows the same kind of lights on it’s edges, you can use the glowing edges of the TV to light the room if the TV is off,
It was displayed at the Avenues in front of Alghanim electronics which the the as you’ve seen the whole store edge glows the same way, kinda cool for Kuwait
i want a red one , yay!
the singer on the Philips Link is Carla Bruni ~
remember the new lady at the Élysée..
64KD…?
As much as it looks like a very interesting item … its not worth purchasing because it’ll get really boring really sooon….
Just bring a normal lamp and keep putting different colored cloths on it and you’ll get colored light… haha

So you want to see 16 million different colors?
I’ll stick to my TV and comp for colors…
And WinAmp Visualizations….
And save the money off course..
Hey if it’s good enough for Carla, it’s good enough for me… I want one!
Who’s going to try 16 Million different colors? 😀
They’re using LEDs, which means, a very long life span, and low power consumption, but the light output is comparable to a 15watt bulb!
It’s cheaper to buy from Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-LivingColors-colour-changing-control/dp/B000VI7K4K

By the way, some websites give 1 year, and others 2 years. What’s Sultan-Center’s ?
I think such lights are more fit for restaurants & LAN parties.
sounds cool!
cool but stupidly expensive.
Its more expensive at Amazon if you will consider shipping (around 2.5 kg)

I found once when i am searching for luxury hotels, one hotel in Turkey-Antalya, it called Adam & Eve hotel, all the rooms are completely white, but they play with the lighting colors, it cool !
I wondered .. changing colors must be manually or it could be automatically changed from one to other ?
It’s very similar to Philips LCD tv (aka Aurea), it looks amazing but it cost 2000 KDs for 42”…That means I have to sing, belly dance, work daytime and afternoon for 67 years so I can purchase one.
I think that light will look great photography object 😀
I was looking for a birthday present for a friend and saw the post, so went last night to buy one. I got it, the lamp works great and can fill a bedroom with mood lighting 😉 Wouldn’t use just one to light a whole living room, but I guess that’s why Phillips made them connectible. A pamphlet in the box said you could buy several and hook them up to each other. As for warranty, Sultan didn’t do jack, guessing its through Phillips.
