This is my last post on Abu Dhabi but I actually posted it on Blog Baladi since it’s related to Lebanon as well. Those of you who visit Lebanon in the summer and party at Skybar probably know that they close down in the winter because of the weather. Well Skybar are now launching O1NE in Beirut next month and it’s basically Skybar but indoors.
While I was in Abu Dhabi last weekend I found out they had opened up there so I ended up passing by to check it out. What I really wanted to see was the interior since a friend of mine who works for Skybar had previously told me they designed the interior with the concept to project visuals across the full 360 degrees of the interior. Way too big a venue
Interior and layout sucks with too many dead corners in the table sections
Music wasn’t good
Zero atmosphere
Crowd was mostly from Dubai so this will be dead during non-events in Abu Dhabi
This has absolutely nothing to do with Skybar Beirut.
Not sure what you mean it has nothing to do with Skybar Beirut. O1NE belongs to and is a project by Skybar. It’s their winter venue.
Also should add I don’t think the venue was too big. If you watch the video after the link you’ll see the place was super packed as it is.
Mark, goto AD during a non-event, it’s very quiet.
It may be owned by the same team but it has none of the charm or character of the Beirut operation – which incidentally is one of my favourite spots Internationally.
Way too large an arena, zero intimacy, awful layout, I doubt this will survive long.
Obviously AD is going to be a lot quieter when the F1 leaves. The F1 is the biggest event that takes place in AD.
I also know it doesn’t have the charm of Skybar Beirut, that applies to ALL the clubs in Dubai when compared to majority of the hot spots in Lebanon. My remark was on your “this has absolutely nothing to do with skybar” comment which was inaccurate.

I passed by it during the F1 but didn’t get in as they were charging 300 Dhs for entrance! any place that charges for entrance in Dubai/abu dhabi end being a failure as your basically letting anyone gets in so crowd wise will be bland and ratio of guys to girls will be high. the place from outside looks impressive but i again it will be dead in regular nights.
