The Jazeera Airways terminal that never came to be

jazeeraterminal

Jazeera Airways recently opened four new exclusive gates at the Kuwait Airport but at one point it looked like Jazeera Airways was going to get its own terminal. Back in 2012 I posted renderings of a terminal design I had found online but I now found another rendering of a completely different design (pictured above) that looks even better than the previous one I had posted. You can check out larger renderings of the terminal along with more information [Here]

And this is what should have happened in a progessive Kuwait that supports its national carriers, however, if I understand where these gates are located, this could be a quick perk for their customer base. If they did not put aprons on the building so that Jazeera Airways passengers can board without going on a bus, then this was futile. I would have built a separate terminal at the far end of the airport where passengers would enter this terminal area through (I think) the Airport Road. There is ample space for all their planes to park and this would have given passengers a smooth experience in boarding, as passengers now experience at Sheikh Saad Terminal. This would have also increased jobs for Kuwaitis if they would have built this terminal. But water under the bridge, at least that utilized this ‘dead space’ they built for a more productive use. But again, “and fly on brand new aircraft.” that is one reason why I stopped flying them was the run down aircrafts.

I beg to differ! Jazeera Airways is by a long shot one of the best airlines to operate out of KWI International.
Extremely good value for money!
