Kuwait Airways Upgrading their Business Class

When Kuwait Airways introduced their new fleet back in 2016 my initial impression of their business class was that it didn’t look premium and it felt overcrowded with their 2-2-2 seat configuration. My favorite business class configuration has always been the Qatar Airways 1-2-1 arrangement on their 787 Dreamliners and it looks like Kuwait Airways will be adopting a similar setup on their new planes.

According to a recent press release, Kuwait Airways will be installing B/E Aerospace Super Diamond seats on their upcoming A330-800neo which are the seats used on airlines like Qatar Airways and Virgin. The current seats in comparison are the regular B/E Aerospace Diamond seats so it’s going to be a really good upgrade.

Kuwait Airways is expecting to enter 8 A330-800neo aircraft into service in 2020.

About time. Their current business class seat does not feel like a premium product at all. Not only is a 2-2-2 set up feel crowded, it’s also not ideal for a solo traveler lile myself. I also really hope they emphasize design because it’s the little design details that make all the difference between bland and luxurious. I hope they have better plans for their A350s too.

So u expect a 1-2-1 from business class? I hate to break it to you but all business classes are 2-2-2 so if you feel crowded then upgrade rather than complain cause you none has a better figuration on a large jet. Also the only reason this is a 1-2-1 is because it is a small aircraft. I also recommend that you check the difference in price before complaining about quality, they are giving you an extremely good deal considering how much it costs. I’m sure you grew up flying private jets to school and ate your ice cream with solid gold spoons but in the real world us peasants aren’t like that. if you really miss those Instagramable days then cough up the dough rather than whine.

You’re talking about something completely different though. If you’re fine with the current offering just because the price is cheaper, ok that’s cool. It’s why u like flying with BA to LA cuz business class is like half the price of competitors but you don’t get the same premium experience. But this post is about how they’re actually upgrading their seats for a better experience, they didn’t mention they would be increasing their prices in return.

What did they previously use? I’ve been on their business class It looks almost exactly the same. Granted I went on the 777 which is what I was comparing this to.

@ Sulaiman

Qatar Airways offers 1-2-1 in business class on their new aircrafts such as 350s and 787, infact their new 350’s and some 777”s come with the Qsuites , which is a far superior product

Emirates offers 1-2-1 on their 380’s, their 777 offer 2-3-2 which is utter crap but then EK service on board more than makes up for it ..

Gulf air & Oman Air offer direct aisle access business class product on their 787’s although they are in the 2-2-2 configuration.\

Etihad has been offering 1-2-1 configuration in their business on all wide body aircraft.. be it their 777’s or 330’s .. even the old ones

KU offering 2-2-2 on their 777 isn’t really a bad thing.. but it surely isn’t the best option available ..
their current 330’s business class product is crap.. but then those are leased aircrafts and will be given back once they receive their new 330’s !

the post is about how they are upgrading to a better product on their future 330’s , which is a good thing !

I used to fly their CMB to KWI route in the a330 and they would seat you in F which was basically the 1-2-1 seating. I don’t think they do this anymore though.

Lol @sulaiman. Anyway..

Mark and HK pretty much answered your um.. rant.

And yes i expect 1-2-1 in business class.

I HATE this 1-2-1 configuration, the seats make your legs and feet narrow and it cause some serious cramping issues, especially on long-haul flights. I once flown with Air France to Paris from Seoul with this seat configuration and it was the absolute WORST! How can anyone find comfort in this??
