Wizz Air Suspends Kuwait Flights

Starting September 1st, Wizz Air has suspended flights to Kuwait. Although I’ve never flown with them, they did have some really great prices and from what I read, it really wasn’t that bad of an experience flying with them.

It’s not clear yet if this is a permanent or just temporary suspension, but right now you can no longer book any Wizz Air flights from Kuwait for the foreseeable future. source

Has something changed with Kuwait DGCA? Seems like we’re losing airlines left and right. Could be that majority of folk in Kuwait maybe do not prefer budget airlines

Same question, especially because we lost BOTH KLM and Lufthansa

I flew one time to Abu Dhabi when the flight time was 10:25 am, it was a no frills flight but clean and nice. It did land in a tiny part of the airport, the first time I landed in Abu Dhabi I thought that was the airport but I guess it’s where Wizz lands? After that flight they changed the time to 8 something am which is too early for my likes so I now fly with Air Arabia.

They land in the main airport in Abu Dhabi, I hope they don’t cancel their flights as well.

I travelled Kwi to Auh then Auh to Lca on a few occasions and they were great. They do increase the prices during public holidays also travelled on other routes never any issues.

I had flew with them to Abu dhabi 2-3 times. Such a cheap price and such a great service with neat and tidy aircraft. I will miss this airline for the time being.

Looks like Kuwait needs to work on something like the Saudi Air Connectivity Program and invest and support in attracting airlines serving Kuwait.

I still remember those days when we had airlines like United, Delta, Thai, Singapore back in ’08 and 09!

I used them a few times from Kuwait – Abu Dhabi for round trips. Prices were good, due to the basic, no frills approach (which I’m happy with for a 90 minute flight). So unless airport fees have increased or it is the current issue with a lot of Airbus A350 planes, especially the LX and LXR (which essentially are grounded).
