Metal Gear Solid V is Out in Kuwait

metalgear

For the gamers here, Metal Gear Solid V is out in Kuwait ahead of the official launch date by 5 days. I picked up my NTSC copy from Kuwait Toys Center in Rihab Complex a few moments ago for KD20. Thats the cheapest price I’m aware of for the PS4 NTSC version as of this post in Kuwait. I think the shop is going to be open all day because of the rush for this game. When I was there at around 2:45PM there were three other people in the shop with me all there to get the same game. Not sure how many more copies he has but if you want one you could call them up and have them set aside one for you. [Link]

I honestly don’t know how the shops in Rihab do it. Last year I bought Little Big Planet for my kid while it was still in pre-order on Amazon! They had both the US and the UK versions! At first I thought they were fake, but no, they were the real thing. These guys should run our country.

All distros get games early, and are told by the publisher to not sell before a certain date. In the GCC they just always break street dates.

A Saudi guy mentioned one of the creators on twitter with a picture of him holding the game & he told him not to post any spoilers.

There a few stores that are distributors, and they give out the games for the other store in Re7ab. The distributer gets containers with the games, and they get “strict” instructions not to sell the game before the official release date. We all know how that turns out though

help me out here

if i have a pal console…can i play ntsc games on that?

plus will i still be able to download from the us store?

Did you play Ground Zeroes (The prologue that came out a while ago)? I think the game heavily expects that you did. Also expects you to play Peace Walker which a lot of people didn’t.

I was never a big fan of Peace Walker and have no idea why they put so much emphasis on a MGS game that was (originally) released on a system that not many people had.

I always liked MGS games because each game could stand on its own. You could MGS2, MGS3, MGS4 for the most part without knowing anything about the previous games and still be as confused as people who “know” the story. MGSV starts you off expecting you to know what happened in GZ and doesn’t really delve into it until you’re past the intro. So a lot of new players are going to be unnecessarily confused and will feel left out.

I would be really curious to hear how someone who never played MGS1-3 played 4, the entire game is one long reference
