Last Thursday I felt like playing a new video game but didn’t feel like heading to Hawalli to pick up a new game. So I decided to order a game online but wanted a place that would deliver in an hour. I mean if you can order food, have it prepared and delivered in under hour, I figured it shouldn’t be difficult to find a place that would have a game delivered that fast as well. Turns out nobody delivers video games in an hour and with some places like Blink who offer express delivery, they charge you a premium for it and you need to order before a certain time. Plus by express delivery they mean under 4 hours which is just too long. I was losing hope until I remembered a reader telling me about an instagram account called @alfuhod. They sell games for prices cheaper than the rest of the market and they offer free delivery. So I called them up and ordered Uncharted 4, they told me they’d deliver it within 2 hours. It was 7:50 when I placed the order so I was expecting to get it by 10PM.
A friend ended up coming over to watch a movie and time flew by and I completely forgot I had ordered a video game until I get a phone call at 11:44PM from a driver asking directions for my house. Nearly 4 hours since I placed the order so obviously I was upset and told the driver I didn’t want the game anymore since it was too late. Next day I got a message from them asking me if I received my game, I told them no I canceled it because the driver was 2 hours late. They didn’t apologize or even respond to me so I’m not ordering from them again.
Which brings me to my question, where do you guys order your games from and who has the quickest delivery time? I’m gonna create a list of all the online places you can order video games from and this is what I have so far:
3Rood Q8
Blink
Digumz
Digumz Store (not related to Digumz)
Game Center
GamesQ8
Mr Babu
ProGaming
Q8 Complex
Taw9eel
Tawsel AlFuhod
VG Gurus
X4 Games
Xcite

I order mine from Amazon and have found it to be the best solution for me. Let me explain why it works for me.
On Amazon I can preorder all announced games all the way through to 2018 and they have the collectors editions which I consider for some of my favourite games. Amazon ships with DHL when you select the expedited option, which I prefer more than Aramex and it usually arrives within 2 days from moment of shipping.
I add all my preorders in one order because Amazon calculates cheaper shipping and import fees when you order more items together, even though they won’t ship together due to release dates. One major benefit is a price guarantee which means I only get charged at time of shipping and not when I place they order and I’m guaranteed the lowest price since the moment I placed the order to the moment it ships, so price goes up or down I win. Not to mention you get a lot of preorder bonuses.
Now Amazon has added a further discount for prime members which is 20% of all game preorders, while it may seem not really worthless to pay $99 a year for prime. It has saved me more than $400 on my preorders and gives me access to Amazon prime streaming service.
Lastly the best thing about Amazon is their customer service. Any issue I have I can call their toll free number on Skype for free and get it sorted. Recently the hitman collectors edition I order arrived with slight impact damage they refunded me the full value even though all I wanted was a discount.
The only drawback is that the games usually ship the day before release date, so they arrive in Kuwait a good day or 2 after release.
The average game costs me around $45-50 after discount shipping and import fees.
umm there are a number of drawbacks to ordering from Amazon not just one.
1) It’s more expensive, games in Kuwait sell for cheaper than Amazon most of the time
2) Games in Kuwait get released BEFORE amazon. Doom for example came out in Kuwait like 5 days before world wide release
3) It’s ridiculously slow ordering from Amazon. I’m talking about trying to get your games in an hour and your option takes day
4) I could just order games digitally if I wanted to pay Amazon prices and wait for release dates and it would be by far a faster option to ordering from Amazon
Valid points. What works for me, might not work for all.
For local orders I use taw9eel.com they usually have the games before release too and charge 1KD. Delivery is also within 4 hours and most of the time the PAL version of the game is cheaper than NTSC
Ah forgot about taw9eel, will add it to the list now
I use steam(PC gamer), just download em. Only drawback would be not having enough hard disk space.
Every weekend, they have a sale, I just add a bunch of wanted games and wait for a huge sale.(up to 75%)(it is less than 1$ for cheapest games, up to 20-40 for newest ones)
PSN Store. Delivery is as fast as your internet connection. Setup auto downloads you don’t even have to be at home to start it. Cheaper too.
It’s not cheaper, alfuhod for example is cheaper plus when u buy a physical copy of a game you can sell it once you’re done and recoup some of the cost even further.
Where do you sell games in Kuwait.
U can sell directly to people on classified sites or go to Rihab and sell them there. Tons of shops that buy and sell used games.
We had this discussion before and I think the main differences:
1) Whether you buy brand new AAA games
2) How much you keep playing older games, especially if you play online
3) Do you buy DLC
A lot of my PS4 games for example I would not want to sell, and these days even some of the disc based PS4 games I have need 40GB installed on my hard drive so you’re not always saving space. I bought Street Fighter 5 new (which was a mistake anyway) but I’ll probably be playing it on and off for years if they keep updating it.
Something like Uncharted 4 I can see buying it new for 20 and selling it for 10 a week later if you rush through it and only want to see the story (Btw, Uncharted 4 is amazing)
If you pick up older games on sale online they will usually be cheaper than in Kuwait even used, and a lot of games when you buy them online come bundled with DLC that they don’t if you buy them used. Most recent example – Bloodborne with all DLC bundled in was I think $40 on PSN, and the DLC itself is $20. So even if you buy it for 5 KD in Kuwait if you want the DLC the price will end up around the same. Personally for me I love the Souls series anyway and will probably play this again someday, so having it permanently on my harddrive is an option I want to always have.
Lastly It sounds stupid but having a game always on the system is a big difference from swapping discs. Especially if you take your console to other people’s houses – sometimes we just browse through whatever is downloaded on there for multiplayer games instead of bringing every disc you own
With older games that go on sale yeah I agree they’re cheaper to download most of the time but new games they’re mostly cheaper in Kuwait than downloading it. For example Uncharted 4 was being sold for KD15 including delivery but online its KD18 tax not included.
I also bought Street Fighter, played it for a week and stopped, waiting for the updates which are coming supposedly…
There is a way to go around the tax for psn or xbox store order. Just put your billing address as a fake address in a zero tax state. I use it all the time on xbox and Amazon for digital download codes.
Woah where’d you get UC4 for 15? If I could find those prices more often I would buy offline.
Tax: Set state to Delaware if you’re ordering from the US.
Street Fighter has been getting some updates but very slowly. They added like… 2 new characters and a stage. Guile’s in there now.

usually everything is like KD18 which is same price as the digital download except you can resell the cd when done but you can’t with the digital download
He doesn’t really have an organized shop though just browsing through instagram pics :/
Wait no there’s a website lol
I regularly use Digumz to order games and it’s usually around 2 hours for delivery, never been more than 3.
Digumz and taw9eel are part of the same company btw. And most of the time taw9eel is cheaper FYI
I buy all my games digital. PSN cards from Amazon. Already finished Uncharted. Now doing a clean up run for Trophies 🏆 before I jump to Multiplayer. 🌍
I use Progamingkw on instagram https://www.instagram.com/progamingkw/ I believe their website is coming soon, not sure.
They have Uncharted 4 CE, I got it already. Nice case and figurine !
just added it to the list
Just finished making some tracks on Stunts. Now feel like playing Test Drive 2, or maybe even Prince of Persia.
where you getting the games from? gog.com?
I use GamesQ8 and they always deliver within 2 hours max!
Digumz mostly, if I’m not feeling like making a trip to Hawalli. They used to have a rental service a couple of years ago which I thought was pretty cool.
That’s a pretty lame reaction for a free delivery, especially since the standard for game delivery is a premium price for same day delivery.
I didn’t ask for free delivery and I didn’t say deliver it to me in under two hours. The free delivery is a service they offer because they have competition and the two hours timeline was given by them, so I think my reaction of not wanting the order delivered to me at midnight more than 2 hours late was very reasonable.
If your Dominos pizza arrived 2 hours late would you be ok just because delivery was free? Yeah didn’t think so but you just enjoy trolling here so keep doing what you do best.
I’ve always been told between 3-4 hours and they usually arrive on the 3 hour mark. Not sure why you were told 2.
Honestly for the price and free delivery they can’t be beat. I don’t really expect my games to arrive like food, I just order a couple hours in advance.
Disapproving your reaction is trolling?
Dude wait till you try IKEA’s delivery, they take up to two weeks. Imagine Dominos pizza arrived after two weeks! (This is trolling).
You’re a troll based on all the comments you leave on the blog and not just to me but to other people.
well somebody has to do it.
The “Standard” for game delivery is actually to get it day of release for a discount. Amazon offers discounted prices for release day orders.
I used to a digital downloader exclusively, until my hard disk filled up with unfinished games that I don’t want to delete yet.
Mark …. im a serial gamer .. so believe me when i say i have tried them all !! blink and gamesq8 are by far the best options out there…. being in mahboula it takes them around 3 hours which i can handle but the best thing is that if they ring for directions . they always speak ENGLISH !! rather than an arabic guy who constantly repeats what he says until i say ‘DEAL WITH IT’ and hang up … they still make it though 🙂
taw9eel should never be used ! they sell counterfeit goods for the price of the original !…. example … me and a few english guys wanted a kuwaiti national football shirt… they are like trying to find rocking horse shit !!
so taw9eel had them at 18 kd each ! .. i ordered 5 ! once delivered i noticed it was a shitty 10fil badge on a shitty 100fil shirt..
i went mental !!! .. got the money back but the wait and hassle pissed me off so bad!!
so … blink and gamesq8 are sick … taw9eel you can eat salty nut butter !!
Hahahahahahahaha… please can you please post pictures of the fake Kuwait National shirt?
Do you usually play football? or did you just buy them as a souvenir?
Maybe we can sort a game if you’re interested?
Kanzy.com also has games. I’ve never bought games from them, but I have bought other things and they always deliver on time (about 3 hours later).
Hi Mark. You can just buy your video games from the PS store and download them instantly. It might take time to do so, but you´ll have it here when you wake from a good night´s sleep.
*you´ll have it here
*wake up from
P.S. I´m a grammar Nazi which is why I´m writing this follow-up post.
