I saw this on digg yesterday, and immediately went home and downloaded the #1 game “Legend of Zelda:Ocarina of Time” on the wii Virtual Console. Haven’t had a chance to play it though.
Download the NES version of Zelda, thats a fucking game.
i feel sorry for people who havent owned a nintendo 64..some of the best games ever came out on that..zelda:ocarina of time, and majoras mask, goldeneye, mario 64..tons of them…i agree with the number one, but throughout the list there isnt enough classics..and too many modern games
The original Tomb Raider should have been in the top 20, outrun 2006 shouldnt even be on the list and where is fucking duke nukem??? PGR2 shouldn’t be ahead of GT4 and Resident Evil 4 no way on earth should be number 2.
Mark, You haven’t even played Resident Evil 4. It should be #1 to begin with. When I get it on the Wii, if you have the guts to play it, you’ll see why it’s #2 š
I think this list is pretty accurate to be perfectly honest. They’re just missing Metal Gear Solid 3 in the top 10.

Patrick you silly thing. nothing beats Ocarina of Time. Ive forever pledged alliance to the almighty N64 because of OoT, Super Mario 64, Majora’s Mask, Goldeneye, Banjo and Kazooie, and so many more classics of gaming.

I played RE4 on the GameCube and thats why I am saying it shouldn’t have been #2. And where is Killer Instinct and Mortal Kombat??? Come on MK1 and what about NBA JAM???

RE4 was an amazing game because for what it did for the Resident Evil series, the atmosphere, the graphics, the characters were awesome.
This list isn’t perfect obviously, there are a lot of games missing, and some games shouldn’t be there. I still think the top 10 is accurate.
Yeah I agree Killer Instinct and MK should be on the list, FIFA should be on there too (Sensible Soccer made it, how?) and Final Fantasy 6. Quake 1 or 2 isn’t even there. The list could go on and on. But the Top 10 is still pretty good.

They didn’t have as many bugs or glitches as Pro Evo has ever had. Games in the top 20 shouldn’t have any bugs or glitches.

Lists like these are meant to judge games as an overall package. And obviously Fifa didnt make the cut and im not surprised at all…
WE has a few glitches…but not enough to deter from its fucking amazing gameplay. Im sure a majority of people in Kuwait would agree with me.

Lists like these are made by the people, EDGE is a UK based magazine, which is why it doesnt surprise me that FIFA isn’t there and why Pro Evo is there. I’m sure if let’s say… EGM released a top 100 videogame list, FIFA would be on that list. FIFA had revolutionized football games way before Pro Evo even existed.
Amazing gameplay Oz? Come on. You get pissed at that game, everyone gets pissed at it and I still don’t understand how anyone can play such a frustrating football game.
FIFA is disliked because everyone hates EA, it’s a known fact that EA isn’t a company that people look nicely upon because it’s viewed as a hardcore corporate company, and we all know that “gamers” dont like corporate shit. It’s videogame politics. It’s uncool to like EA.
I’m not saying FIFA is a perfect game, but for Pro Evo to be #15 on that list, beating so many other games that aren’t glitchy, buggy or as frustrating, it’s obvious that there’s a problem.
People on Facebook dont seem to agree with you. Do a search on fans of FIFA and fans of Pro Evo, there are loads more FIFA fans then Pro Evo. I’ve met a lot of FIFA fans in Kuwait and I’ve met Pro evo fans as well and between the people I know, they even out.
This argument isn’t going anywhere because we’ve had it so many times and it’ll always exist, FIFA vs. Pro Evo. I think we’ve had it more then a hundred times already =P
To be honest, I dont think any sports game should be in a top 100 list. lol.
Oh and Izzy: If you haven’t found a glitch or bug in Winning Eleven or Pro Evolution, then you’re just pretty damn lucky. Oh and what’s fishy about that list is that it’s created by a UK magazine =P
what you need to do is play a round of fifa and then come back and have this conversation because no way on earth could you seriously be saying fifa soccer is a better game then winning eleven.
everyone hates fifa not because its by EA its because the game sucks.
I enjoy FIFA a lot more than I enjoy Winning Eleven. I get so frustrated with the stupid AI of the GK and the defense. At least the AI in the EA games are more intelligent then the AI in the Pro Evo games. I’ve played both and Pro Evo is a lot more frustrating football game than EA.

every diwaniya u go to, every ps2 purchased has to go with a pro evo copy and ppl keep buying the newer version. ur actully the first person i know whos complained about bugs in pro evo and saying that fifa is better.

Wow a lot of those games brings back good memories! But they did forget Sonic the Hedgehog! There were a lot of good games on that list, I give them props for sorting some of them out, takes a while to make that list!
FIFA 96 on the SNES, respect.
other than that i played the early FIFA soccer game on the PS2, the only thing i liked about that game was the way you can co-ordinate a throught pass by tapping L1. EA copyrighted that maneuvre which i think would rock in Pro-Evo.
and it’s a shame not seeing Quake I or II in there.. I know id software made a revolution in the online gaming industry with thos 2 games.
