Actually the ps4 coming next month is European-regioned, thats why its much cheaper. The US version will stay in the 200KD range.
Actually, according to wiki – PS4 is made for all regions unlike the previous PS3 and PS2 region issues. You can check the Link.

PS3 was region free. It doesn’t matter if you get an EU or NA PS3, PS4 will be the same.
You are right about PS3 was region free but the first 20GB/60GB model releases was not at the time.

The blue ray payer will be region locked which is a problem for me

In the UAE online stores PS4 prices are under AED 2,700.

It has nothing to do with Kuwait. Even in the States right now the PS4 is being sold for a higher price on the grey market because demand has exceeded supply. In Kuwait the problem is amplified due to the fact that the PS4 is being imported from the US and has not been officially released locally. Right now demand is high in Kuwait and supply is low so the price is high. Once the demand decreases for this price point or the supply increases then the price drops.
yeah but on Ebay (which consider worldwide bidders) it’s reasonable price based on real demand world wide and the increment that bidders makes, unlike Kuwait it exceeded the normal price and the price is set by the shop owner on the start then decreases on the fact people aren’t willing to pay that amount of money.
I talked to X-cite they said they will have ps4 on 1st of December and it price will be 130k.d. with the EU date release.
On eBay they’re selling for around KD180 and in Kuwait they’re selling for around KD225 so that’s not a big difference considering the PS4 is officially released there while in Kuwait they’re being imported.
And as I mentioned the stores will start decreasing prices either when they run out of customers willing to pay the amount they’re asking for or the market gets supplied with more PS4s.
The PS4 will be released officially locally on December 13th and that includes Xcite. This is based on information from the Sony dealer and Xcite.
The good part is, they won’t be able to milk it for long, and I predict that the future pricing will be that the local will compete with international pricing because of the online worldwide shops will also have delivery system available for gulf countries directly, as you can see from steam and PSN is just starters.
I agree with Mark, the PS4 is sold at these prices coz the shop owners know that people in Kuwait will pay a “premium” for the limited supply that is currently available.
The shop owners are not thieves, its economics.

Yesterday at XCITE I saw an ad and it said PS4 release date Dec. 10 at 130kd (with with an asterisk saying prices can be changed at will lol nice snakey advertisings). Just wait it out. There are no good release titles anyway.
