The Xbox One is now available in Kuwait and surprisingly it’s priced KD20 cheaper than when the PS4 was available on the first day even though the PS4 is actually a cheaper console. The price is also slightly more consistent across the store with the Xbox One selling for KD260 at Rihab Complex and Blink while Digumz is selling it for KD270. This is the PAL version that includes a digital copy of FIFA 2014 as well as the Kinect sensor.
Like the PS4, the prices should drop considerably once the console becomes more readily available.

The PS4 was priced based on demand. It is over priced and the price is dropping is more supply become available and the price will even drop further as soon it become available officially through Sony distributors.
Likewise… Xbox One is priced based on demand and since its demand is less than the more popular PS4 it will be priced lower… however that “lower than PS4” price is still probably higher than what the intended tag price unless it is supplied to the market through authorized distributors/resellers.

The PS4 retail price is $100 less than the Xbox One retail price.
Day one of PS4 launch in Kuwait the PS4 started of at KD280.
Day one Xbox One launch in Kuwait the Xbox started at KD260.
Both devices are in very high demand and both prices reflect the over exaggerated local launch day market price.
So as I stated in my post, I’m surprised the Xbox One launched KD20 cheaper even though the retail price of the device is actually higher. Meaning I was expecting the Xbox One to launch here at around KD300 and not cheaper than the PS4.

You were expecting that the xbox will be priced higher than PS4 because the announced price of it is higher than the PS4. However, in reality… both are being priced in Kuwait based on demand. Both are priced over the suggested retail price.
the 20 dinar difference you’re referring to does not mean that the xbox is cheaper than ps4… it only means that ps4 is on higher demand than xbox. Both are still expensive and over priced.

Thats exactly what I did, I compared the inflated price of both systems on launch day. I did not compare the retail price of one system with the inflated price of another which is why I was like wtf is he calling me dumb for.

Nobody wants PAL version even if the Xbox One is Region Free, although ROME is worth getting game from what I seen, however I’d rather wait and see if there is RROD, if there is no problems, I might get it later on, or not depends on the feedbacks of other gamers.

You can login on the same xbox live as well as friendlist goes up to 1000.

This is the same country where when people were lining up for weeks outside movie theaters in the states to be the first to watch star wars, it launched in kuwait a day earlier and the theater was pretty much empty.

Probably the difference between Launch day and standard edition. Actually all the local sites are selling launch day editions.
PS4 prices are fixed! Basic price is 130 KD nothing more than that where this price has been set by Sony! Console+1 joystick is the basic and for sure games cost more which will increase the price of the console. Easy boys and show some love!
