Over the weekend I had to use the Kuwait e-Visa website to apply for a visit visa for my mum. While filling in her details I noticed some major spelling mistakes, ones I’m surprised haven’t been fixed already since the website has been active since last summer. Here are the mistakes just from the partial screenshot above of the e-Visa form:
– biulding should be building
– forth should be fourth
– governate should be governorate
– flour should be floor
Since this website is being used by visitors hoping to get entry into Kuwait, it’s not really a great first impression, and we haven’t even discussed the 90s look of the website either.
When I applied for my mums visa on Friday, it got denied the first time and even the denied page had a major grammatical error. “Your eVisa application was been denied” should be either “has been denied” or “was denied”.
If I’m correcting spelling and grammatical errors, then you can imagine how bad things are.
I applied for my mums visa again yesterday and it got approved the second time around. Completely random. On the plus side, even though it was the weekend, the approval/rejection process took a few hours and was pretty fast.
So whoever is in charge of the website, please fix these mistakes. I haven’t checked the other pages but I’d imagine there are probably mistakes on those as well.
Update: Spelling has been fixed!

English education should be given more weight here. I mean Arabic is OK but you can’t deal with other countries. And Science and stuff is mostly English. Education should be English by default. If you practice medicine or any other tech related stuff. It will be in English.
I think that’s actually one of the major factors stopping a lot of people from going into private. Most of the workforce in private companies speaks English and it will really hurt you if you can’t communicate with your boss for example
They don’t care. I work for the government sometimes they ignore me when I make suggestions and they upload my work and mess up the grammar and spelling out of sheer laziness. They only care when their name is on the line as an individual not as an institution.

LMAO
I came here looking for rants about our arbitrary and nonsensical visitor visa system
I downloaded the MOI app. as soon as it got downloaded a notification popped up “MOI App will slow down your IPhone, as its an older version” deleted the app.
They should fix it, a shame.

Is the age limit(65yrs) for visit visa still in place or it’s removed?
Should one now apply online to get the on arrival visa? Will they not issue it upon arrival?
JACC website and tickets too please! They also need to pay attention and change all the details to be for Kuwait not UAE. Like asking for emirates ID.
Just went on the website, they fixed the spelling! must have been too embarrassing.
Hello Mark, i am trying the kuwait e-visa portal to apply for a visa. i am an expat living in UAE but born in kuwait š but my UAE visa is valid for less than 6 months, any possible suggestion how i could get a visa?
no idea
Under ‘expected address in kuwait’im requested to enter something in the ‘Area’ and ‘Governerate’ fields, but whatever I enter is rejected and a flashing warming symbol appears with a message ‘select from list only’, yet there is no list. Please can somebody advise.
It’s August 20 and I’m seeing the same error. It seems to appear in both the English and the Arabic version of form. There’s no way to submit it.
Did anyone manage to solve this? The same problem persists still today. Did you just get visa on arrival by queuing?
