Lots of wind turbines

Last year I posted about a house in Salwa that had two wind turbines installed. It seems their little experiment with wind must have went well because they currently have at least 7 wind turbines installed! I wonder if they’re completely off the grid yet?

Thanks Hamad

these wind turbines dont generate enough electricity to power your A/C at home, especially in Kuwait when each household has 20 split units

these people have good intentions but unless everyone gets them, not much of an effect is being done

Hmm wind turbine doesn’t make any sense because it ain’t soo windy in Kuwait, they should have installed Solar Panels.

Wind turbines don’t need strong winds to be effective. The household ones only need about 25-35KMH winds to generate electricity

Actually my prodessor said he peer reviewed a study about wind energy in Kuwait and he said Kuwait optimal for wind turbines because turbines don’t nees strong winds and and Q8 has consistent winds. But I admit I never read it.

i know this home owner its for MR. Mohamad Al Naki the owner of fanar mall. and i ask him one time about this turbines .. he used it for his home .. he is an environment friendly person and he dont like to u the government electricity and he like to save electricity power for the country so he build this turbines.. by the way he is an old man.. but an amazing man.
all this turbines its enough to give electricity for his villa.

I live just down the block from Mr AlNaki’s mansion. He has alot of dogs that stroll around the block but i hardly see alot of movement in the house except for the large amount of workers he has. I once got a look of whats inside, I have to see I really would like to be in there. Seems like a different world! Nice to see kuwaitis making use of alternative energy.

He had solar panels installed 22 years back, they were installed ontop of the roof, the problem with solar panels is they need a lot of maintenance, especially in Kuwait, we usually get a lot of dusty days, dust could get inside the cells and ruin them. Solar panels need to be cleaned regularly. Generated electricity from these Wind turbines are used for the garden, and the exterior house lights.
