According to Arabian Business, Apple will officially be launching the iPhone 5 in Kuwait and the GCC on December 14th. So if you were planning to purchase an iPhone 5, put it on hold until it’s officially out. My guess is the 16GB version will end up costing around KD220 when it’ officially launched here. [Link]

If they sell the 16Gb in Kuwait for 220 Dinars that mean it will cost exactly the same price as the UK version minus the VAT. Which is not logical thing to happen in Kuwait since the whole business theme in Kuwait is based on ripping off people.
I’d guess having the iPhone officially launched in Kuwait that will only mean more market penetration and availability. It will not be restricted to big resourceful shops who manage to bypass Kuwait customs complications. As for the price, it will drop, but not that much.
