You should be more polite when replying to other people next time. The guy did not say anything wrong, in-fact, he was just trying to help.
If you have something nice say it. If you don’t, then keep it for yourself please.

They probably were expecting

” If I have it written as buffet then it’s a buffet. If its written set menu it’s a set menu. 😀 ”

:p

It did sound quite rude….just sayin’

BTW, why are you advertising Applebees if they were such jerks to you?

Actually it just sounds a bit rude..
sought of like I know what im doing, mind your own business types :P.

That’s why I still can’t rely on text messages to get a point across! There was probably a certain tone of voice inside your head when reading Mark’s reply that probably would not sound like it when heard face to face.

Actually just called and asked, it’s a set menu but they’re calling it a buffet. Got into an argument with the guy cuz he was being rude. I was like is it a buffet or set menu, he was like its a buffet but for the main course you choose from our set menu. I was like so its a set menu not a buffet, he’s like you have 10 items to choose from.

Anyway its a set menu and NOT a buffet so just updated post. They don’t know what a buffet is…

We went by the other day, and there is a set menu. There is also a buffet with salads, boneless chicken wings (hot and b’bque), chips, spinach and artichoke dip, soups, spring rolls, and more.

Appleby’s is calling it a buffet, but it’s actually both. So I guess everyone was right 🙂

BTW, it was good. Very nice for the price.

Jeans Grill also has a great buffet. Like, really really good and huge as well.

Pizza Express has this great offer which I had last year. A medium pizza, salad, drink, dessert AND APPETIZER for only 2.5 KD. Best Ramadan offer. So cheap as well. Only problem was that the food sucked.

I almost went to applebees last year also for their buffet, because they do advertise it as a buffet. It is very misleading of them, if not an all out lie. Once they explain it to you, you realize Applebee’s clearly doesn’t understand the definition of a buffet.

Olive Garden has the regular set menu, and with every main course you get soup (free refill) or salad (also free refill) so it’s a good deal

I hate eating out in Ramadan because I always get super bloated and have to go lie down on a couch. Thug life

i just called zahr al laymoun, and their buffet is 15 Kd per person not 7.5
you might want to change that.

I just don’t understand why everyone is so petty and sensitive! Mark did a great job compiling the different Ramadan deals and instead of thanking him, you are clutching at straws! Grow up please 😉

Mais al Ghanim has a set menu everyday at 6.500KD for Ramadan consisting of a mixed grill plate/or special of the day, combined with lentil soup, 2 salad choices, endless Ramadan drinks, fruit plate, tea and Ramadan sweets.

Or you could also order from their normal menu.

Thanks Mark and everyone else for their comments. Lists like this and the comments that go with it are great for knowing what is available. Without blog posts like this, we’d all be in the dark trying to piece it together by word of mouth and advertisements. Great resource!

I just called movenpick:
