Parking in the City

Remember the phase when cops were towing away illegally parked cars in the city or removing their license plates? Yeah well they’re over it now which makes me wonder why can’t they ever stick to a decision?

yup that is it exactly… cops have dominance in areas like Khaitan, Farwaniya Jleeb Al Shoukh Mangaf etc.. places of high Egyptian , Asian and South East Asian expatriate concentrations.. this is where their position commands fear rather than respect..

Because the whole decision had nothing to do with ‘rule of law’ and was just a back handed scheme for the owner of the private towing/impound lot to profiteer illegally while bribing two individuals in the MOI/traffic dept. One of the Arabic papers blew the lid on the story, and the MOI issued an official decision to stop impounding cars for illegal parking, seatbelt, or mobile phone violations.

Not only in Kuwait City. The street I live in Salwa Block 10, cars are parked on the left side of the road and before U-Turns blocking the view while making a U-Turn which makes it very dangerous to do so. As well as parking on the pavement in the middle of the road.

Sales is a KUWAITI mantaka. Try to do the same thing in Salmiya. You won’t find your car .
Rules are for the expats not for citizens.
