I love how some Co-op’s are trying to one-up each other when it comes to customer safety. Qurtoba Co-op for example recently installed a sanitizer gate that disinfects you before you walk into the supermarket. Is any supermarket at the moment giving masks along with gloves to wear as you enter? I’d would think that would be a good idea as an extra precautionary measure. I know some supermarkets require you to wear a mask before entering, but I don’t know of any that give you the masks at the door.

It’s not open, I checked a few days ago.
Hateen coop give you face mask and gloves.
I got turned away for lulu Fahaheel the other day for not having a mask. I needed stuff for my kids but I can’t find a mask at any pharmacy.
People of certain other nationalities were being allowed in without masks and with their kids. We were stopped from taking kids in weeks ago.
Jim Crow would be proud
You could always complain? I really really doubt that they allow children inside, they would get shut down by the gov as it is literally punishable by a hefty fine to have children anywhere outside.
Coops and supermarkets across the country should have special store timings for senior citizens and pregnant couples say, the first 1 hr after store opening time be allowed for these susceptible group of individuals.
Children not allowed into co-ops/supermarkets.
It’s preferable that one adult per family go out and do the shopping, to reduce the crowd.
Rawda co-op had the gate thing last week, too.
Your gate is too small…

Ishbiliya coop won’t allow expat, even residing in same area, to enter and made it only for Kuwaitis….
FOH.. Yesterday I went into Ishbilya Co-Op and they were letting anyone in.
I was just at TSC Salwa today, they only gave hand sanitizer and gloves, but no mask. They also wouldn’t allow people without mask to go inside.
any clue on where we can buy masks?
I eventually managed to get one in my local Bakkala but it’s only cotton, not medical, had to pay a KD for it too. I just wear it to get in to Lulu….
Honestly, I doubt these gates work. You can easily go through the gates and enter then start coughing and sneezing and spreading the virus. Im not against co-ops sanitising the floors/shelves etc. and handing out gloves and masks, but I doubt these gates serve a purpose in this setting. They might work for crowded metros where people actually rub against each other.
Youl be safe from Corona Virus but moderate chance of developing cancer from the toxic fumes..
