Pearl, a fellow blogger sent an email to Jazeera Airways complaining about some problems she had with one of her flights. The response she got back from them was just unbelievable. The Jazeera Airways guy basically calls her a liar twice, accusing her of exaggerating and and making up facts.
I hope Pearl can post his email address and full name so someone at Jazeera can put some sense into him. [Link]
Update: Turns out I misread, someone left a comment on her blog on behalf of the airlines, it wasn’t a reply to her email which means there is no proof its from an actual Jazeera Airways employee. My mistake! [Link]

That guy is an idiot!
Argh. I just *HATE* it when stuff like this happens. Its freggin atrocious- at the highest sense of the word. Jazeera has been getting the ickiest of publicity for sometime now. Yes, its a budget airline but that’s absolutely no excuse whatsoever for the level or quality of service to be compromised!

We’ve had bad experience with Jazeera as well. Their customer service was really poor.
I flew jazeera with my wife to Dubai for a shopping trip. Our case was lost and I have never seen such bad service. I was basically ignored until I sent a fax asking what was going on. Despite having all the receipts for the shopping for over 200KD and the case (samsonite) and our missing clothes we were offered 35KD. The ground crew told me this happens every day because of a manual system that doesnt work. Do not check your luggage on jazeera !!! They save on airfares through not spending on wages, training or systems. Be warned.

What else do you expect from Jazeera airways? Its customer service is as low as its prices…
but the thing is she says she is assuming that the guy called “airline” works for jazeera…so how can u say that jazeera airways are calling customers liars..when ur not even sure who said it????

Just to put things into a little of perspective…Their Financial Customer service is not that impeccable, and I do have the emails to prove it.
About a year ago, they double charged my Visa. A simple error that should be fixed. After several emails and phone calls with their Financial Manager, I got no where. he was calling me a liar in a polite way. Even after I faxed him a copy of my Visa History.
I ended up going to NBK and filing a complaint with them. I got my money back after 2 weeks.
So, does an update come at a cost ?
Sensitivity is rather a secondary issue..

If it makes you feel any better, I lost over 300 dinars worth of souveniors when my luggage was ROBBED!! I was flying Emirates from JFK to Kuwait via dubai. No one took the blame. Emirates blamed it on the Dept of homeland security…the DHS blamed it on the airline who actually had my luggage. In the end, Emirates asked for receipts. We collected all receipts. We had everything…they did NOTHING. In the end…WE LOST ALL THE ITEMS WE BOUGHT FROM THE STATES. No body cares…especially these airlines. With such crappy service, I hope they go bankrupt soon. This isnt the way people should be treated. We pay for our tickets…we dont fly for free. That is the frustrating part.
