The Burger Hub is another one of those places I never tried because I absolutely hated their branding. With places like Burger Boutique and Slider Station, the bar has been raised when it comes to the design of burger joints in Kuwait and the fact that Burger Boutique and Slider Station are local creations just like Burger Hub means there is no excuse for bad design. If we put aside the ugly logo, placemats and the confusing menu, whats up with the interior design? Its just really awful, and the bathrooms are even worse. The whole thing put together just makes it look like Burger Hub were trying really hard to be different and stylish but the result just makes them look like wannabes. Having Slider Station a few doors down isn’t helping either. One thing they got right and the most important aspect of this review though was their burger.
According to their placemat their most popular burger was the La Rose Burger which consists of the beef burger covered with caramelized onions, mushroom sauce and swiss cheese. So I placed an order for that with a side order of fries and waited. When the burger arrived I wasn’t impressed by the presentation. It came in a small metal pan that had white paper on the bottom and the burger on the top which looked pretty cheap.
I really came into the place already with a negative impression and nothing there was really helping me change my mind until I started eating the burger. Wow what a shock. Everything about the place was telling me this burger was going to suck but it was just delicious. When I first saw the bread I expected it to be hard but it turned out to be very soft and although the burger was really juicy, the bread never got soggy. The beef patty also tasted great while the mushroom sauce wasn’t overdone and the cheese was just right. I couldn’t believe I was not only liking the burger but loving it.
But not all is perfect, before I could really start to enjoy the burger I had already finished it. I guess for a 12 year old girl on an Atkins diet the burger is actually a good size but for me I wished it was ever so slightly bigger. I also wished the onions were more caramelized since some of it still tasted raw. Overall though the burger was really impressive and thats why I am giving it a 4 out of 5 which actually ties it in first place with their neighbors, Slider Station. I will definitely be going back again, they have a really large collection of burgers which I think I am going to have fun going through. Now if only they can revamp their identity.

Nice, to finally have the reviews back Mark. BTW the place mats on the table were printed atleast a year ago, and haven’t changed since. Maybe La rose is still the best selling burger but just FYI, that survey is really old.
Anyways since you liked Burger Hub, i recommend you try the bazar swiss and the B-Bomb (warning, the bacon is fried with maple syrup which can sometimes be too strong but great when done right).
I still prefer Slider Station, because of the wider range of tastes…burger hub to me is kinda like Maki, great at the beginning but after a while everything just starts to taste the same because they use a lot of similar sauces in many burgers and side orders.
I like the way this place it.. I think its funky and a good design..
They tend to have really good burgers, I order their four seasons burger when I go…
Very strange review ? Now you give them 4 out of 5 like slider while slider burger 11kd, you should have tried boxwood burger the first aexpensive burger in kuwait 13kd im sure you would give them 5,are the owners of the hub your friends ? why you gave them 4 if you didnt like the WC ?

I knew you will like their burger, its all in the patty itself! it tastes so good, even if you try all the burgers in their menu you will find the attracting thing is the patty its just perfect for me!
the decoration is weird but what I hate is the small space! you feel like you are in a box, their fries iron bucket is nice! if ur into spicy try their killer fries.
I used to go there almost every wednesday or thursday after work, tries almost everything, their mushroom is amazing also 4 season as Marzouq recommended is nice, not fancy their fries but would give them the credit for the baby ones pretty nice.
and yes the menu is CONFUSING… i like simple clean ones 😀

I hate Burger Hub’s logo+identity as well. it is just weird & ugly. I hate the colors! and I tried the same burger, I still like Slider Station/Burger Boutique more… I love their meat, tastes better.

I thought the interior wasn’t THAT bad, looks a bit like Slider Station -with the pipes and cracked wall paint effect. LoFat has good cheeseburgers.. make sure you try them…
and about your review, on what basis are you choosing the burgers, it looks like you chose La Rose because others think it’s their best burger. Why not try a couple of their burgers and add the best one to the ‘Best Burgers in Kuwait’ list. I liked the Sweet Chile the most.

I love Burger Hub, their Le Rose is really good. I also like how they have different choices for appetizers.

But if we also included the restaurant atmosphere, design and customer service then Slider Station would end up winning. But these burger reviews are just about the burgers and nothing else has an effect on the final score.

m.f.: I am going either with the most popular burger or the recommended burger. There is no way on earth I would be able to try out all the burgers on the menu in all the places and still manage to have this challenge completed before 2010 and not end up looking like a hot air balloon.

Mark, cant u see the difference between a frozen ready made patty like the one they use in burger hub, and the fresh ones at slider station and burger boutique or even johnny rockets ? so as the fries and the other appetizers, at burger hub, they just fry them out of the bag, the ones u find them in sultan center at the frozen food section, that is so un-creative, i could have the same stuff at home, i once had their baby potatoes thinggy, then i figured out that they use the same tater tots (fried potatoe balls) as the ones we use at home, that is so ignorant in my opinion, instead, they could use their own ingredients and be unique.. I hate their meat, its smelly sometimes, and the texture is just not right, it reminds of Fois-Gras.. Oh! and their jalapeno poppers, they sell them at sultan as well.. the interior? luvs it! its contemporary, creative.. but the food, pleeease?!
I wish if the owners take my opinion seriously, and try to change their stuff gradually, change their patties, simplify their menus, dosumthin with their fries and potatoes, and get rid of the junky frozen bags in their freezers.. ta ta =)

You should give the Sicilian Burger a try
It has mozzerella cheese and rocca
but best of all
it has sun-dried tomatoes as part of the patty (mixed in the meat before the meat is cooked)
Also get the bazoo fries, with sun dried beetroot tasting delectable

u know before reading your burger reviews.. i ordered all the pizzas in kuwait actually the “fast food pizzas”, :
dominos, papa johns, pizza hut, peppes pizza, little ceasars..
i order margareta for all of them.. i even timed there delivery this is how i ranked them:
1. papa johns- amazing taste!
2. pizza hut- crispy crust!
3. dominos- hmmm? 50-50!
4. little ceasars- i dont think so!
5. peppes pizza- eww! soggy!
haha im thinking of something new now.. maybe like cold drinks from starbucks, coffebean, etc. or sweets like cakes ( i know sugar and spice will win it eventually!)
anyways i think you should try B+F and go with the most popular burger! good luck and be careful, dont get too much belly fat!:p

I am a fan of burgers and I enjoyed your reviewd recently.
Regarding The Burger Hub design I think you were bit harsh, were restaurants work on a limited budget and deadlines and you u never know what went wrong.
Plus Slider Station did a really good job in their design concept although we have to admit that a lot of factors were inspired by Burger Hub ex. the beer barrels, the burger hub used wine barrels, and also in the bathroom; also the rustic look and the menu are very similiar.
Thats why competition is so beautiful if you can “innovate you imitate”
and Slider station did a good job developing the concept.
Burger wise for slider station Ill give it and average taste, I am great of Gouacho and Mcd cheese burger.
Mark I cant wait for the next subject for reviews.

Marrakech- wow! U really do sound like u know everything! How do u know that their patties are ready made? Are they ready made with the foie gras in them? What about the one with sun dried tomatoes? Is that in the frozen section of sultan also?

Burger Hub is a complete ripoff ! The food and design suck. Also why do they keep copying their competition ? Can’t they be a bit original ?

Went with my wife to have late dinner at slider station and unfortunately they appologize at 11:20pm for closing. Then we end up at BURGER HUB with FROZEN potato balls “lamb weston”from sultan and 2 burgers la rose’.
I have nothing against the food but imagine while I’m eating and my burger in my hand,A waiter “John” came to me at 11:40pm to inform me literally: ” u have to pay the bill we will close now”,i just continue eating then another waiter came again after 2 minutes” we will close sir you have to pay” i really got mad!! they can’t wait for a minutes!! FOR THE 3RD TIME the Waiter john came back after 2 minutes also saying ” our system will close you need to pay” then i really showted at him. but they dont care at all even i called their manager sibbin and answered me the same ” our system will close”!!!!
i dont give a F…!! for your system. you welcome your guest at 11:30 pm so you should inform them first that they have to pay at 11:50 pm NOT WHILE THEY ARE EATING!!and then treat them well!!!
