I just got an email from a reader saying he saw a Schlotzsky’s opening soon sign at opposite Alraya Mall in Kuwait City. I used to LOVE Schlotzsky’s back when they were open in Lebanon. They make the best sandwiches ever!
Thanks Aliman!

The sign is in front of alraya mall its opening in the adjacent building to alraya…Just wanted to clarify.
the name sounds like a polish Jewish name.
Sounds promising.
[the name sounds like a polish Jewish name.] Their goes their business 😛
Wohooooooooooooo tried it in the States and fall in love with the turky sandwitch and the pepper salt chips yumooooooooooooooo.
Mark seriously .. whats the hell is Obika the mazzarolla bar !? review and explaine please .. so reluctant to try.
Delis in general ARE jewish. I don’t see why it should matter. I like things nice and kosher.
Eat a Jewish Sandwich for the New Year!
People here in Kuwait, including me, won’t even be able to pronounce
the sandwich place’s name. If this place gets popular, which i highly doubt, people will be making up all sorts names for the place.
Shlozyskis or ShlofiyrgiyvrfyKis
its same name as that weird US senator .. beside that the sandwitchs looks really delicious .
First time to hear about it ..
man i HEART Schlotzsky’s … tuna sandwich with hot sauce on it would just do it for me
i don’t eat jewish food since they’re eating us alive everyday
There is nothing wrong with eating “Jewish” food. Food is food. If you don’t like “Jewish” food, then don’t eat hot dogs, because their origins are “Jewish” . There are a lot of meals that have a Jewish origin to them, but it doesn’t matter.
As long as it is food, Kosher or Halal, I’ll eat it.
guys stop spreading rumors! there is NOTHING jewish about Schlotzkys!

cheersssssssss
salt beef sandwich in rye bread with a latka on the side, the followed by apple strudel pudding.
I’ve been eating Jewish food in London since I was little. Its good food.
Schlotzky’s is not jewish…! Where the hell do people come up with this crap?
Plus even it is…who cares? It’s just a deli!
No thank you, I don’t want to go to a place where I and no one else can pronounce the name, I want to order 1 falafel butat, little ta7ina, hold the salad, and darzan samboosak freshly made from the nearest jam3iya. That is my kind of Deli. What can I say, I am old school.
hahahah. what the hell is Schlotzkys?? the name makes me think of something stuffed with cold cut meats and pickles served on waxed paper.
Awesome ! more restaurants in Kuwait that’s just what we need. I bet you they will have home delivery too.
Schlotzsky’s sounds like one of bad guys from Guy Ritchie movies.. Boris the Blade! Hope they open b4 new years..or on 31st. Will have a new place to hang out.
miss ghesquiere:
Aren’t you describing every damn deli on Earth??
Schlotzky’s is from Austin, Texas and may be of Polish descent as many Germans & Polish settled in Central Texas after immigrating to the USA.
All I can tell you is that this sandwich maker obliterates all of the other sandwich shops in the States (Subway, Quiznos, Blimpies, etc.)
YAYYYYYYYY =D
i love their turkey sandwich, it’s amazing.
the logo looks like Sabaro restaurant and Moschino old perfume design :p
They opened in Adliya, Bahrain like eight years back and failed.
The sign is so familiar. Isn’t it like Sbarro?
We don’t have this is Toronto, Canada 🙁
but we do have Starsky (Polish) supermarkets! 😀
and Schlotzsky spelled in polish would be either Szczlocski or Schlocski, depending on how it’s pronounced.
