That’s a side by side comparison of the new Zain MiFi next to my BlackBerry. It’s pretty tiny.
Update: The Zain MiFi is a portable wireless internet router that runs on battery. The price is KD30 with a 1 year internet subscription.

another rip off by “Zain”
Zain is running its last miles it seems……I hope anyways ๐
I got mine from Hawalli for KD68 ๐
Oh, I am so sorry to hear that Zorro. Did u get it recently?
I got in last month
*it
their service is extremely bad, i paid for 1 year data line on 20th or 19th march 2008 and after experiencing technical failure and bad service with out any kind of compensating i decided not to renew my subscription but they automatically renewed it on Feb 2009 so i got stuck with it.
yesterday i went to zain souq sharq telling them that this year khalas i don’t want it they told me to come back when i have only 2days left in my subscription so they can rob me again.
zain = shain
I got mine from hawaly also for KD68, but I like the option of changing carrier when I want and if I want to use a slower speed. with zain’s mifi you’re stuck with the KD27 if you are on zain/KD30 if you’re not plan for a year.

Can someone tell me if Viva is a better option than Zain as I am experiencing quite a few problems with Zain and internet connection. Also, they often slow me down to a really slow speed near the end of the month and I find it hard to believe I have used the 20Gb cap or whatever the fair use policy is.
not worth paying 360 KD a year for this. viva is way better and faster
finally…of all the news on the net, your blog is the only one that called the MiFi what it really is: a portable battery operated router, which provides full mobility. Even Zain doesn’t know thats what it does!! ๐
Mark this has nothing to do with your post but i was wondering where did you get your blackberry cover from?i have been lookin for a similar one for quite some time now, thanks.
Mark, check out the review https://somecontrast.com/2009/12/16/zain-mifi-new-mobile-router/
I tried viva and it was really bad so i got wataniya which is mcuh much better
mohammed: I got it from Amazon for 300fils ๐
if you want good covers try case-mate.com
Zain is a ripoff. plain and simple.
wait untill you see the new router from VIVA. Its better than zain, smaller and lighter.
You can check it out on my blog. I have some exclusive pictures and you can use them for your blog.

Hey, mark, i like your Blackberry, but what is it? bold curve?
The curve
guys forget about viva and zain, go with wataniya they are fastest ones
First i don’t trust any service offered by Zain 20GB monthly data consumption vs 45GB Wataniya and unlimited Viva no thanks!
that’s cheap, too cheap.
Why don’t they sell it in Saudi Arabia?
“Zain Adapter” is better.
Do not need it if you have a MAC
nxman: Viva isn’t unlimited check their website https://www.viva.com.kw/portal/page?_pageid=894,441102&_dad=portal&_schema=PORTAL
I heard the battery life is very bad on this device.
Well its 4 hours which means it should last as long as your laptops battery. If the battery dies before your laptop you can charge it via usb.
I think it’s pointless since a laptop with wireless capabilities, can make a ad hoc network >.>
F*** zain Hater’s ๐ Viva Can go F*** Off :@
I can’t get my iPhones to connect to the wifi from my mifi. Anyone got some advice on how to get this going?
