Are the locusts already here?

locusts

A friend sent me the video below of what are supposedly locusts in the Al-Salmi border area. That’s a lot of locusts…

Sh*t.. that’s a lot food… lol

Recommends serving them crunchy – an effect that is best achieved as follows:

Drop them into a boiling broth, clean them off, and roll in a mixture of flour, coriander seeds, garlic and chilli powder. Then deep-fry them.

Pan-frying is another good option, and they are “crunchy, tasty and sweet”, says Basson, when mixed with caramel and sprinkled into meringue.

Mark.. this video has been circulating Kuwait for the past 5 days saying that the Locusts are hours away.. for someone who FEARS insects .. its not funny how we cannot seem to know the truth! ARE THEY or ARE THEY NOT in Kuwait .. or is this some kind of joke.. or a old video.. so for the past 5 days ive been on stand by (Sad i know)!

Yea I’m also having some doubts, wish I was in Kuwait to be sure.
I’m not that scared from insects but the video looks nasty.

Didn’t we have them last year? Although I don’t think it was a swarm like this it was just a two week long breeding season.

They filled up the hallway outside our house but we fixed that issue by keeping the lights off.

100 Bible Verses about Locusts

Mark 1:6 ESV

Now John was clothed with camel’s hair and wore a leather belt around his waist and ate locusts and wild honey.

I actually saw two of them hopping around yesterday near Arrayah parking but was too embarrassed to say since there were news that they made a detour to Iraq 🙂

I think they officially announced that it will not come to Kuwait City… it went near Jahra and then maybe north or somewhere else in the desert.

There was one locust on my car today, around 6 pm when I went out (I was in Yarmouk). He had better not be calling any friends!

Well apparently an article from the Public Authority of Agriculture Affairs & Fish Resources (هيئة الزراعة و الثروة السمكية) stated that they seriously doubt the video was taken in Kuwait as we do not have the right weather right now. Locusts will migrate to warm agricultural areas with lots of humidity (the factor we are missing right now). It is the time now, however, that our friendly grasshoppers appear (much smaller than the Locusts seen on the videos)..

However, people have also been posting more recent pictures on social networks that have not been dismissed yet.
