Kuwait Maps App

The Kuwait Maps app is a new mapping app that is integrated to Google Maps but has one big advantage over it, the app allows you to search for an address in the format we’re used to here in Kuwait:

Area, Block Number, Street Number/Name, House Number.

The way the app works is very simple and fast. When you first run it you choose which area you’re in, then what block number you’re looking for followed by what street and finally what house number. The app will then find the location for you and allow you to navigate to it using Google Maps.

Right now the app is only available for iOS but will be available for Android phones in the future. The app is free and if you want to try it out you can find the app download link on their website [Here]

Lexus navigation uses the same method. You can download it to your phone as well. They purchased Here Maps (previously Nokia Maps).

Kuwaiti finder app has every business in Kuwait registered. If you can search for it in Arabic, sometimes English. The coordinates can be shared with google maps. It has every single business if its registered with the government.

Ikr?! “Sir, what’s the nearest landmark to your location? Where exactly in Hawally? Nugra Janoobi or Nugra Shamali?” Like fuck off and use your goddamn map. Another reason why I stopped ordering food through Talabat.

To be fair to the delivery guy, if they are asking so many questions they probably don’t have phone that can handle google maps.

Not the same way though and kuwait finder is a lot slower and clunkier. Then most importantly, kuwait finder isn’t integrated with google maps so even after finally finding the location in kuwait finder, to get it into google maps is cumbersome.

Hey, I’m the developer of Kuwait Maps. Thanks for the post! Feel free to hit me up with questions or suggestions. If you like the app, I’d appreciate an app store review :).

Good Luck!! the App looks amazing and is user friendly.. I hope that you one day can integrate it with PART and MOI to manage and control traffic!! GoodLuck!!!

Thanks! If there’s enough interest for an android version then maybe in a couple of months. I’m playing it by ear at this point.

did you actually try doing that cuz it doesn’t work all the time. For example, I just searched for “salwa street 1 block 1 house 11” and it got me street 1 block 12 house 11 instead. I then tried “salwa block 1 street 1 house 2” and it showed me random businesses around salwa.

You are right because currently Kuwait Finder is configured to use in-app navigation via HERE Maps. It is a configuration only to integrate it with Google Maps but PACI decided not to toggle it on for solid reasons.

Kuwait Maps is fast and simple must admit. The new revamped Kuwait Finder is on its way very soon to tackle these issues in addition to shiny new enhancements.

You can’t navigate directly on the map, I tried to pin point a location and that doesn’t work, it’s also very poor in features, I still prefer google maps or Kuwait finder

Kuwait finder is the best so far to find exact location of a building in Kuwait so far. If you have the PACI number, then its BOOM it’ll bring up the location straight away. Otherwise you can search in the for mat Area Block St H (Ardiya B1 St3 H45). In Kuwait , every House, every flat, and every building has the PACI number. If Mishari can integrate with his app, then it’ll be much better than the Kuwait Finder itself.
The delivery services should push customers to provide the PACI number in their address so that those unnecessary communication between the delivery boys can be avoided.
