Completely Submerged Land Cruiser Pulled Out of Sea

I’d be heartbroken if that happened to my car. [YouTube]

clearly not, as you can see in the video he had a boat trailer connected and it happened at a dock. Driver probably shifted into reverse instead of drive when he wanted to come back out after dropping the boat.

You’d have to be on heroin to do that!

More likely, thanks to the horrible algae buildup of each and every slipway in Kuwait, he slipped while having the car in proper gear and the tires spinning furiously.

I agree, that’s most likely the case. The boat doesn’t even have to be heavy for that to happen, as the car weight and lack of friction would do it. Similar incident happened in Ireland recently where a car accidently drove onto a slipway that was covered in algae, and even though the driver realized that very quickly tried to reverse desperately, the car got completely submerged and all the family members in car drowned except for a newborn that the father managed to pass to rescuers through the window.. very sad.

I admit that I’m ignorant here but can you still use a car after it’s been submerged in salt water fow who know how many hours/days?

you probably can to a limited degree after replacing a few parts but with new cars and all the electronics involved i’m not sure how much of it gets fried.
