Over the weekend the SIRBB race track in Shuwaikh claimed its first victim, a Ferrari California. Looks like traction control was turned off and the driver lost control of the vehicle. I love how the driver stayed calm after the crash, if it was me I would have dropped a few dozen F-bombs. [YouTube]

Going nuts on open roads risking lives of others is idiotic.
At least the driver did his experimentation on a closed track.

This is a kart track!!! Not a car track. We are forcing cars into a kart track, if this doesn’t prove that we need a proper car track then I don’t know what does.

how hard would it be to build a multi purpose race track complex?
4-5 quarter mile tracks
a loop and a street course in the middle.
all you need is land, tarmac, a clubhouse and a full time emergency medical team.
you know what the hard part is….Kuwait. Simple things just don’t happen here, I mean you would have to deal with the authority for sports and youth which is like the touch of death for any good idea/project.

Its easy to build. But you need large land. and once you get that large land from the government, you’ll realize you have a gold mine in your hand and you’ll waste it if you just put tarmac on it. You end up subletting it to someone else who use it as storage space or whatever.
Now this doesnt happen when I drive on the streets, the obstacles (other cars) always give me way 🙂

Actually, those few split of seconds were his brain trying to process what just happned. the WTF moment. The video cuts exactly the second he started weeping like a little girl ;p

Was he trying to drift at a curve?
Why did he push gas pedal at a curve?
Or was he watching the big elecyronic signboard than the road?
He lost grip on slippery surface, they have the turns painted (which is quite dangerous).
And he is an amateur. Dangerous driver + unsafe track = disaster
Oho…. what the hell? I haven’t even drove a go-kart there yet and they are tearing up the track? Typical douche who drives a Ferrari to make up for the things he lacks. When is this place opening up to the public for karting not wannabe racers?

At least dude had his seat belt on, although I don’t consider it much of a “crash”. That curb had no right jumping in to his lane!

You can tell he is an amateur just by the way he holds the steering wheel. Please learn to drive before you take a vehicle like that onto a track. And you shouldn’t even be thinking of taking traction off unless u have many hours under ur belt
