Alghanim Motors are bringing the Lotus brand to Kuwait and they’re opening their first showroom in Shuwaikh opposite The Historical, Vintage and Classic Car Museum. Lotus is a British car brand and currently have some really hot looking cars like the Exige and Evora range. They aren’t a mainstream brand but they do have a bit of a cult following.
I’ve also heard rumors that Alghanim Motors acquired the Ford brand but I haven’t been able to verify that so I’m treating it as just a rumor for now. I heard that Ford and the current local dealer weren’t getting along and so Ford gave the brand to someone else. We’ll find out soon enough, I’m just glad that someone finally brought Lotus to Kuwait.

not really al-wazzan sold it to al-ghanim
Not true. Mark is correct
Ford is leaving Al Wazzan not being sold or anything. Also, rumors are Alghanim Motors is losing GM to Bassam Al Ghanim (family law suit), this is why they are going after car brands recently (Ford, Honda, now lotus etc)
oh now everything makes a lot more sense. interesting.
Yooo!!!!!
I just passed by coincidence the Alghanim motors and I saw I yellow exige parked there! I was like, cool car but how is it here.
This makes so much sense now! Haha
Getting into the Lotus parts business. They are among the least reliable cars on the planet. “Lots Of Trouble Usually Serious”.
I think that was in the old days. Now they use Toyota engines so they should be pretty much bullet proof.
I didn’t know that. Good for them. Toyota is indeed a benchmark for reliability.
My dad works with Alghanim, They actually acquired Ford!
Car License Wars GO GO GO
now what
there was lotus dealer back in the 90’s, its place was in alrai beside honda motorcycle shop now. but i don’t know who own it and why its closed..
that would be al sayer
A boutique dealership for sure, after all – a car that has the AC as a paid option isn’t really going to sell in Kuwait.
The AC is an option most likely because people who want to use it as a track car would prefer it without AC to save on weight
