A reader who’s currently in Dubai for the weekend spotted the new soon to be released 2013 Range Rover covered in a bit of camouflage while being tested on the highway there. Check out the pictures below.

Wonder what they could possibly be testing in the UAE that they can’t test in Europe. If it was summer then I would believe it.
testing how well it deals in deserts hot place … etc ?
Good place to test the HVAC system, whilst thrashing it full-bore on sand, I would have thought.

Odd place for a mule, nonetheless. I would have thought they would do it in the USA, since they are much closer to the UK.
It’s not odd at all. Dubai is hot and humid and u have the desert for offloading. Lots of testings takes place there. Aston Martin tested the Rapide here in kuwait.
They probably do testing the US as well but it’s probably a lot easier for them to test it in Dubai since Dubai probably has a lot less restrictions and also less paparazzi
The 1st shipment On feb next year is already sold out in Kuwait ! Starting from 32,000 KD . Now they are taking orders for the 2nd shipment arriving on May next year. Range rover have a Bad reliability Rating when it comes to 1st generation on new models, so it’s wise to give it a year or so.

Zzzzzzzzzzzz bo-ring! It looks like someone stuck the ass-end of a 2012 Range Rover onto the front end of a Pajero. I expected more.
