Q8car is broken

This is extremely frustrating. I’ve been trying to upload my Wrangler onto Q8car but every time I am done filling up the form and uploading the pictures I get an error. Their website is broken!

Update: Also got the same error with their Arabic version of the site

Also a tip they don’t mention.. if you don’t want your pictures of the cars you upload to look distorted then resize the photo so they are exactly 550pixels wide by 458px height or else they will force your images into that size.

Update2: Spoke to their IT guy, seems they are updating something and the site might work tonight.

Update3: It’s 11:56PM and it’s still broken. If it wasn’t for the positive experience I had with them before I would have signed up and uploaded my car to Q8showroom instead.

H: for sure, i sold my last car on Q8car within 3 days or something like that

Kuwaity: Well the IT guy I spoke to said it was something they were fixing. I don’t know why they don’t put a message please try later BEFORE you spend all the time filling in the form with details and pictures…

U don’t loose any of the information in this site if u go back to my listings your upload is there and u can pay at a later time which I think is quite cool. I called them too and they said knet themselves are having issues with them cause the system and ip changed. I think once it works this system of uploads is much better than the old one. Mark I would not put an ad on showroom if it was free. I have had really weak results from that site. Can I suggest that if u r in a rush to call a mandoup to come I did It it’s fast and easy.

Nothing under listings. I am not even getting to the knet page. Just once you fill up the first page info (mode information, description, pictures) and you click next you get an error.

Seems they shouldn’t have launched it without testing first.

KNET puts new sites on a test payment gateway first before making sure your site works and putting you on the live servers.

I have not seen any other site facing KNET issues so far.

Anyway – its looking like a rush job and now its coming apart.

This morning when I was searching for a car, clicking on a listing landed you at the error page. :/

ya mark i got the same thing like you and then did it agian and it worked. Burhan i actually called them and said what you said and there IT guy said they spoke to the knet rep and they already had done there test enviroment before launch at that they still had problems because of they re wrote the knet code is asp.net to fit there new infrastructure. Funny enough i called knet to ask if this is true or just a load and they said they do not provide an asp.net code only asp and that is the reason q8car is having some trouble. I spoke to a guy called Muhammad taha he told me that they have been working with q8car since thursday to get it to work. Sounds like you know a lot about this burhan may be you should give them a call and lend a hand.

Unfortunately, I have had the displeasure of dealing with KNET for a few of my (past) clients.

They only provide JSP and ASP code.

ASP.NET libraries are easy (and I mean super easy) to develop. For a previous client I had developed a library for KNET in PHP and Python – now that was a headache :/

I wish them all the luck.

Burhan its super easy to create the libraries but Knet uses COM objects which has less or no documentation on objects. If you are talking about developing library in phyton/PHP did use the couple of files provided by knet or did you create you own knet objects in phyton?

Did u guys notice that the year search opened now. They are obviously reading the posts and doing something about it. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE GUYS
