The photo on the left has been making its rounds on whatsapp with people saying its so hot the traffic lights are melting. That’s not true of course with the picture on the right explaining how that traffic light actually melted.

Exactly, I think that’s what everyone is missing. The fact that there strong enough rays of energy that penetrated through the atmosphere and set ablaze the a small vicinity that included automobiles and a stop light. This could be another cheap sci fi movie

Who allowed traffic lights to be made of cheapo plastic in the first place? Ones made of metal and glass would still be working or easily fix-able.
