Track Your Impounded Vehicle

I’m having a hard time keeping up with the new car impoundment campaign. When it was first launched they said they’d impound your car for 2 months if they caught you using your phone while driving or not wearing seatbelts. Then I heard the campaign was cancelled a day after they launched it. Now I’m hearing the campaign is back on but that it only applies to men, not women or old people? Whatever the situation is, Kuwait Impound is a website that allows you to find your car after it’s been impounded. So if you got your car impounded and want to know where it’s stored, use this [Link]

Thanks Fahad

So in that case… if the ladies violatimg the rules.. what will be their charges….. normally.. every ladies use phones while driving its a routine thing for ladies in driving…

Yes it has been reinstated and the following are exempted: old people, people with special needs, women, driver who have the employer family aboard, and women

Good share

its a matter of joke on how these people implement laws these days. they dont tackle the root cause, they always want the easy way. deport, impound, khallas..Many Women in kuwait drive very careless, what about them? You go to expat living areas, there is no parking space for all the tenants of the building , so they end up parking either parallel or on pavements. These cars are impounded . the authorities should have the common sense to ask the building owners or company’s to provide parking space for every tenants from whom they take monthly rent. What a shame.

According to a police officer, headphones and Bluetooth are allowed.

If you get distracted by looking at your phone (whether it’s mounted on the dash/windshield or on your lap) and a cop sees you… You’re in big trouble.

In those special cases, the car will not be impounded but the license of the driver will be withdrawn.

Also, if you car is a rental or owned by a company, it will not be impounded and the license of the driver will be withdrawn.

The license will be withdrawn if it’s rental, owned by company, basically if you are not the owner of the vehicle…

What are you referring to in “those special cases”?

The ones mentioned in the post, an elderly person, women, a driver with a family, and even if a male driver has family members with him.

It is also worth mentioning that the impounding is UP TO two months, and the period is decided by the police man.

No those people will get a fine, I doubt thelicense will be taken … the license taking only happens if they are supposed to impound the car and it just happens to be not yours

Interesting point you make about the period…

I wonder when was the last time we heard an announcement that made people happy. Anything positive and I mean everyone.

Yeah I don’t think doing something that saves your life and you should do anyway by common sense should make you feel unhappy.

LMAO this country is so broken .. kuwaiti women are the worst followed by kuwaiti men … all expats should just leave this place .. ill give it 6 months and they will be back in the caves lmao

Tell me one law that has a logic these days. It is very easy to deport. These guys should be treated like this in the rest of the world.

Quit the yapping and follow the laws of Kuwait… Smh!

Don’t park illegally, wear your seatbelt (that includes the front passenger) and quit using your goddamn phone while driving.

Very easy to follow unless of course you’re a woman or an old fart then these rules don’t apply to you.

My car was impounded in salmiya block 10 and i don know who took it i checked all baladiya places and there is no ticket how will i check

My car was towed when i parked it in no Parking zone in front of IKEA , other cars were also parked there

i left the car and went for shopping in avenues , when i returned about an hour , i found no car in that spot

when i spoke to the policeman who was present there , he told me my car has been picked up and they have taken it to jahra .

after driving in Kuwait more than 12 years, this is the first ever mistake i did was parking my car in no parking zone and it was unintentional , it was dark at the corner could not see the yellow and black lines

Police man saw my son crying who is just 3 years and i was standing on the road with my family not able to understand what to do , my door keys were inside the car , it was terrible situation for me i lost my car and even cannot open the door keys when i go back home .

This is worst situation one can face , it was very difficult for me to come out of this situation , have to pay fine in the muroor , and now waiting to take the car back from jahra .

I don’t know to what extent is the law right , my family who i have to protect and see they are safe have to stand on the road in the late night at 10: 30 pm and the police man did not do anything even when i told my home keys are inside the car and was just seeing my son crying and he said we have to follow this law as instructed by his manager .

i believe everyone has a family and they are some situations where they should have an alternative solution to help and should not force anyone to get into more terrible situation like this , i felt i did a biggest crime in Kuwait .
