Vacation Notice

I’m in California for the next two weeks on vacation so my posting timings will be a bit different from usual. The last time I went on holiday was last September and it was just a week in Bulgaria so I’m really looking forward to this break.

News tips are appreciated a lot more than usual when I’m on holiday so if you have anything interesting for me to share on this blog, send it in!

That aerial photo gave me a deja vu when you respawn/change characters in GTA IV haha..

Wish you a happy vacation man! Enjoy and take care.

Was this photo taken by yourself on the DJI Spark?

If so, are there any restrictions from using them in the US?

Yup took it yesterday, no idea on restrictions but similar to Kuwait u have no fly zones. So I’m staying right now in Sun Valley which is very close to Burbank Airport so when I fly the drone here I get a warning the near a no fly zone warning pop up in the DJI drone app.

so did more research, turns out you’re required to register your drone if its over 240g. So just did that here https://registermyuas.faa.gov/
Max height you can fly your drone is around 120 meters. They have an app called B4UFly which you can launch and it will tell if you can fly your drone or not where you are along with other restrictions. Pretty organized.

The registration process by FAA was scrapped last month by the DC courts of appeal. You can now actually request for the $5 refund and your record to be removed from the registry.
