Why do we now have billboards every 20m on the Gulf Road? It used to be one of the most scenic roads in Kuwait and now it’s plastered with billboards all down the middle. If it was one billboard every now and then I can understand, if they were on the side of the Gulf Road, I could understand that as well, but they’re just back to back all along the middle. I think there are more billboards down the middle of the Gulf Road than there are palm trees, and I’m not exaggerating.
Speaking of billboards, do people still not know what it means when a word has a red squiggly line under it?

The red squiggly line wasn’t there because plummer is a word.
adjective, plum·mer, plum·mest.
extremely desirable, rewarding, profitable, or the like:
a plum job in the foreign service.
It’s the wrong word, of course. There’s no red squiggly line for that, unfortunately.
Although I do think the grammar check would have picked it up.

Damn it Mark! Now I’ll always remember this definition whenever I’m on Plummer Street! Thanks -_-
Those billboards are an eyesore.
The guy who approved this is probably the same guy who decided to add dustbins all along the seaside walk, something you mentioned in a different post lol
Not to mention that people will focus on them instead of the road if they are that frequent.
A month ago there was a moderate storm and things got a bit windy and nearly 80 out of the 220 large billboards fell over (everywhere including on cars on in the middle of gulf road). It was chaos, and the gulf road ended up basically lined with cop cars on both sides, The area in front of sheik Saad palace had some serious carnage. I was sure the next day it would be all over the papers, and that MPs will be screaming about it in parliament. Instead there was complete silence like nothing ever happened.
I saw it to, and I was hoping for the same, but yes your right, it was as if nothing happen.
Clearly they is someone with interest in interest who has shut some mouths.
Wanna Plummer… Lol !!!
Speaking about signboards, anyone noticed the pharmacy signboard right outside the airport on the circle. kept like 1 meter next to each other.
Visual Pollution !
Another random thing in Kuwait, its all about randomness here
Our whole existence is random.
Mmm if on instagram you can see post after post, why not do the same on billboards? This is genius this way badvertising agencies can try to make billboard by billboard animation ( frame by frame animation) and you can only see it if you are @200 km/h ……what do you all know about ceryativity?
Can we all take a moment to talk about the horrible quality of ad prints lately? Those rock house slider ads? Who hired the l337 sp33k tr011?
It’s really sad. First they dug up the divider and ruined the perfectly maintained greenery by piling up sand next to ditches, then replaced it with the eyesore of these hoarding. The unfinished sand piles still remain at some points. I have honestly started taking the gulf road less frequently now.
The extra billboards function as a barrier for dusty weather.
Yes, I’m being snarky.
As in Christopher Plummer?
The Gulf road… should be called…. Billboard road
yet another crazy decision from who ever is in charge of the city planing.
That means no one. Right?
WOW what a plummer!
What about those video billboards like the one under the bridge between marina mall and the Cresent? I can’t be the only one that thinks its so blinding at night that it is going to get someone killed
Although they are an eyesore, those are the most wanted and highest rated billboards in Kuwait as of now.
Every company wants to advertise there and you will never see them empty.
its almost like they’re going out of their way to make the place uglier
