Yesterday my brother asked me if I knew what the Arabica Coffee symbol % was. I thought I had shared it on the blog before but turns out I hadn’t. In case you’ve ever wondered what their % sign represented, it’s basically the coffee plant simplified, check out the image below. Smart.

I have notice that this year, a lot of coffee shops sprouted like mushrooms. Around Kuwait City to Salmiya all the way to Fahaheel, all are unique (taste and theme). I got the chance to visit some of them. What do you think will be on your top list (without bias)?
Arabica, Vol.1, Caffeine and Toby’s are my favorites.
People have vastly different tastes in coffee, some cant taste coffee properly yet, myself included, a lot like cold flavored coffee and will base the shop on that, while some will appreciate the taste of the coffee itself.
One of the smartest concepts I’ve come across. Kind of jealous I didn’t come up with it 😂
I believe you mentioned this piece of information before, Mark. Either you or from on of those coffee corner posts. Why did Grant Mouton stop posting though? I really liked the insight he would provide regarding the coffee industry and such topics.
Now that I just recalled his posts.. I’m so rereading them right now.
You should totally contact him Mark and if he can write more about coffee from his own perspective and the science behinds it as he scraped that technical aspect from his first article. I know I know.. I can simply google this stuff and read about it myself but something about his writing feels really genuine and true to what he’s passionate about.. and come on its on your blog is just part of the appeal haha..

Did anyone else know that ARABICA is a franchise?
A good, rapidly expanding franchise.
It’s a Japanese franchise but there are more locations outside of Japan than in it at this point
Yeah it’s like what happened with shake shack. Second or third arabica location was kuwait, then they opened in Dubai, I think Oman and now same team opening up in Paris
im proper hooked to this place their hot lattee is just on a another level, going back to the logo i was explaining to my brother what the logo meant and what the shop name is…..3 hours later calls me and asks me if i wana drink coffee at “percentage” wtf arabs 🙂
