Vintage Kuwait Airways Timetables

kuwaitairwaysfleet

While I was researching for a post I found a page with old Kuwait Airways timetables dating back to 1959. According to that timetable Kuwait Airways was flying to the following destinations back then:

Abadan
Bahrain
Basra
Beirut
Bombay
Cairo
Damascus
Dhahran
Jerusalem
Karachi

I also found the image above of their fleet inside one of the timetables which I thought was very cool. Check out all the timetables [Here]

it was called palestine back then not jerusalem..

what a joke you are for writing that..

no wonder nat left you,

Jerusalem is a city not a country. You’re confusing Jerusalem with Israel. Secondly it’s written as Jerusalem in the Kuwait Airways timetable, click the link…

it was called Jerusalem back since… the Bible!
what a joke you are for writing that
no wonder you are angry and lonely

Perhaps you will meet someone in geography class

It wasnt Mark who published the time table, you Chutiya (look up the dictionary for that word)
You actually bring ‘disgusting’ to an all time low!

I recently read a book about Air America (C.I.A. airline systems) by Christopher Robbins which makes reference to the first flights in Kuwait I wonder if this was the predecessor of Trans Arabian Airlines?

After attaining sovereignty and Independence in the 60’s, Kuwait as part of nationalizing efforts took over or rather acquired Trans Arabian Airlines (the fleet). KAC was the successor not the predecessor.

i remember i had found an old Kuwait airways ticket.it was dated of 1986,now,i wonder where did i kept it securely.

While it may take another decade or two for KU to modernize and upgrade it’s aging fleet, something needs to be done with their crew uniforms which are pushing toward 10 years in service. We know how popular are Chloe and Balenciaga with KU especially in the past. In a break from tradition, regional designers the likes of Reem Accra or Ellie Saab can be roped in instead.

Nice, Malaga and Casablanca I remember were some of their pristine routes once upon a time. If Ms. Al Roumi is ever serious about a turnaround for the airline, like it or not she cannot NOT afford to aggressively focus her product on servicing the Indian market something which they chose to conveniently neglect all these years much to their own detriment. For all you know, Nice and Malaga may then find themselves getting back on to the Kuwait Airways route map, once more.
