A friend of mine here in Kuwait got the Wacom Inkling and has some samples up. If you don’t know what the inkling is, it’s basically a small device you attach to your notebook and whatever you draw in your sketch book or on paper will be transferred as a digital drawing to your computer.
According to him “it’s good for fast sketching but not good enough for tight detail doodling”. He has two examples which explain his comments which you can check out. You’ll notice some of the digital lines are not in the same place as the original drawings as well as some details missing. Check out the two samples [Here] and [Here]
The Inkling isn’t available on Amazon yet. He had a friend in Hong Kong purchase it for him and ship it to his Aramex China mailbox.
Thanks Pinot

Wow
Even though some lines are not in the right place, this still is pretty neat.
And I think further driver updates would make it even better.
I think I will give it a shot.
I don’t think it’s meant for detailed doodling, the impression I got from it is that it’s meant as a device used for sketches that you transfer to your computer where you finalize everything. Still a pretty nifty device!
still, looks like it can handle the details up to a certain degree which isn’t bad at all. It’s going to cost like $200 which isn’t too bad.
Dont the extra 5% that aramex claim its a custom tax

There’s a significant learning curve using this Inkling. You need to adjust your nature drawing behavior, to make a specific clear communication between the pen & receiver. Once your finger blocks the communication, the receiver will generate inaccurate result (missing or misplaced strokes).
I do love this Inkling. I’d prefer drawing on a paper than on Wacom tablet or iPad.
I just want to say I had a look through your website and your sketches are amazing. I particularly liked this post:

I’m a sucker for environments, especially that science fiction/steam punk kinda feel that your sketches had. Awesome work.
Thank you, sir *bows*
has anyone used this AND the livescribe pen?
would like to know how they compare to each other.
Livescribe is more for writing, right? A review with comments about Livescribe https://www.theverge.com/2011/11/28/2586419/wacom-inkling-review
thanks for that link. yes, the livescribe is more for writing. i am actually looking for something that can help write and sketch (though the sketch need not be perfect).
i initially thought of ms onenote and a touchscreen laptop, but that is bulky and expensive.
something like this or livescribe could be more portable.
I was checking his blog and its got some pretty sweet ‘doodles’ 🙂
This one in particular reminds me of Plawres Sunshiro.

Try drawing on a bigger scale
