I think the tickets are a bit expensive- if you have four children and two adults for example, you are talking nearly 45KD for a night out, before refreshments…..a night out at a show in London would be cheaper!

Musicals are the worst thing in the universe! Worst than AIDS and cancer combined! Why ruin the wonderful work of Dr. Seuss this way? WHY?!?!?

To me “terrible musical” is redundant. Just saying “musical” conveys the exact same meaning.

I don’t think the ticket prices are expensive at all. And a night out at a show in London or New York City is definitely not be cheaper. If movie tickets are KD 3.5 and even more for the VIP Cinemas, then I think the price of KD 5-7.5 for quality live theatre is definitely fair.

@Swan-Bo four tickets in London to see Charlie and The Chocolate Factory on 20th June-

Sub-total (excludes delivery) £116.00
Postage £2.00
Grand Total £118.00

That’s approx 55KD for a LONDON show….at Drury Lane, with an all- star cast.So I admit not cheaper but is a Kuwaiti show really worth only 10KD less than a performance at Drury Lane?

Well how much is the ticket worth for you? KD2? You can’t really compare. This show is up for only a few days while the ones in the UK and US are mostly permanent shows. How many people fit in a theater here? They need to generate enough money in the end to at least cover the rent.

the general income level in kuwait is higher as well and we don’t have taxes so people are willing to pay5 or 7.5kd to be entertained for a couple of hours. Why not since we pay 10 to be entertained on a jet ski for 30 minutes or 35 to wake board for an hour. 7.5 is a steal compared to them.

I agree Mark although I think sometimes we are all exploited a tad in Kuwait because of the lack of real entertainment. We are about to head out to Elevation Burger which will set us back about 20KD for a small lunch, so money’s not an issue but I’m thinking of other people whose kids might love to see this but can’t afford it.
Why didn’t the organisers for example offer a morning show cut price for schools?
We need more live entertainment here.
(PS I think we should have taxes….booo hiss!!)
