After closing for renovations for what seemed like an eternity, Barba reopened again a couple of weeks back and I think the place looks amazing, maybe even the nicest looking in Kuwait just because the space is unique being that it’s located inside a warehouse. Before Barba closed for renovation and expansion, the place hosted some very cool events so I’m hoping with the winter season just getting started they’ll be hosting some cool events again soon.

Looks great but too modern. I loved how grungy and industrial it was before. But neverthrless, an awesome place and cant wait to check it out again. Been waiting forever!
you’re not a lone, most of the comments i’ve gotten on instagram is how they prefered the previous look. Personally i think the places look a lot better now and I love the new color scheme.
What happened to the upstairs lounge?
The whole space has changed, if you look in the photo you’ll see a black shutter in the back, that opens up to another completely different area. I think thats where events will be held. so concert in the back, food in the front. There is an upstairs area right over where i was standing when i took the picture, not as big as before though and stretches to the other side behind the shutters.
