the sudden demand for quinoa worldwide as a trendy health food has made made it super expensive for people who eat it regularly in south america and pay amounts like we might pay for bread or rice. Fair Trade groups are now telling ppl to now buy quinoa because corporate entities are basically fucking over South Americans. But of course I dont expect anyone to actually listen to this.
