For non-coffee drinkers out there, you’ll be interested to know that a new matcha place has opened up in the downtown area, specifically on Coffee Boulevard. The matcha place is called Cha Matchacha and they’re describing themselves as the first matcha bar in Kuwait.
I haven’t tried them since I prefer coffee over matcha, but if you’re looking for a new non-coffee shop to try out, they’re located at the start of Coffee Boulevard, near Koi and Little Purple Door. Here is their location on [Google Maps] and their instagram is @cha_kw.

Well, isn’t that cute? 😐
We’re making our own little Portlandia here. Quick, sheeple, line up!
Portland is heaven on Earth.
Don’t dis my third home!
And no, Coffee Boulevard, as great it is, doesn’t hold a candle to Portland where minced meat ice-cream is a thing and so is eating fried maggots with marshmallows.
“Keep Portland Weird” is the city’s slogan for a reason.
I lived in Portland during the whole Portlandia deal, and I prefer my maple bacon donut with cold sessions can’t find that shit in Kuwait.
Voodoo Donuts!
or Blue Star! But I don’t know if they have maple bacon donuts.
That’s Voodoo, I still prefer sesame donuts for your daily fix!
Ever been to Alberta St.?
My friend Victor and his dad own a donut store there called Angel’s Donuts. It used to be called Tonalli’s.
They’re really good! But their approach to donuts is much more traditional.
Portland is my first home! That is all. You are welcome anytime.
Habeebi tislam!
For dumb noobs like me, what is a matcha?
It’s a kind of tea
I learned 2 things today.
1. We have a coffee boulevard in Kuwait. I always called that street the ‘light bulbs street’.
2. There is a drink called matcha.
I just assumed everyone knew what Matcha was but just remembered only reason I found out about it is when I still hadn’t started drinking coffee and wanted a drink that had as much caffeine
So knock off of cha cha matcha in US…
I was going to say.. even the colours they use are cha cha matcha colours… new business owners need to be careful with how they brand their companies..
Blatant rip-off. How hard is it to come up with an original idea here? Why do people do this? More importantly, why do people support copycats like this in Kuwait with their money?
The people are so fucking ready to quench their “thirst”.
Kuwait is beyond boring.
People are excited over a cup of green tea.
who exactly is excited here?
I thought Ochazen near Slider station was the first Matcha bar in Kuwait. Hmm
Thank you for the post and comments .. please feel free to pass by
