Five Guys Opening in Salmiya

fiveguys

The second Five Guys location in Kuwait is going to open in Salmiya on Salem Mubarek Street, opposite Galleria 2000 [Map]. This means that strip of street will now have the following burger places:

BGR The Burger Joint
Fat Burger
Five Guys
Johnny Rockets
Shake Shack
Smash Burger
Steak & Shake

The only franchise thats missing on that street now is Elevation Burger.

Considering the rate at which burger joints are opening in Kuwait, it’s not too far when there will be more burger places than bakalas.

Tried their burgers before, did’t like them, they wouldn’t be from Berkeley since the franchise is originally from New Zealand.

Not fan of Five guys, didnt like their food.

if but there is two i want to try out which is FatBurger and Steak and Shake, never tried them.

on bright side they don’t serve thine layer burger like mcD.. u know.

however need to get it crossed from my checklist

Hey mark
I use your app and for some reason the pictures don’t show up. Just thought you should know. It’s been like that for a few days.

To be honest I tried a regular single patty burger with the full works…I was disappointed. Ive eaten five guys burgers in UK and Canada and the size of the burgers were titanic! Here in Kuwait, they seemed small, tasty, but small.
Anyone else had this problem?

Only burgers worth mentioning is Five Guys and Elevation burger, The Counter burger was one of the good ones, shame it shut down, beef was nice, you could choose from a long list of toppings, missed it so much had to stop in Miami airport to have one before coming back last trip.

I tried The Counter once, and while I did like the concept, the service was very awkward for me; The waitresses kept asking me if I wanted a drink like 3 times and I repeatedly said no, and their burgers were awful! I told them to make mine well done and when I got home, it was undercooked! And when I tried cooking it in the oven for like 5 minutes, the whole thing burned to a crisp and smelled like chemicals! And their whole advertising campaign was that they didnt use any chemicals or antibiotics, what an outrageous lie! Can’t say I’m surprised they went belly up in Kuwait :/

Odd that they’re opening a new location. Everyone I know that’s tried it told me it was overpriced garbage.

5guys is currently the best burger place in Kuwait. however it’s kinda expensive because it costs exactly the same as the dollar amount lol. The single patty with fries and coke is around $5 and in kuwait it’s around 5KD. That’s a major and blatant ripoff price.

In the US a cheeseburger, regular fries with regular coke will cost you $12.57 (KD3.80) https://www.insidefortlauderdale.com/menus/fiveguys_menu.jpg

In the UK a cheeseburger, regular fries with regular coke will cost you £13.25 (KD4.95) https://thenottinghamfoodblog.files.wordpress.com/2015/03/photo3-1.jpg

In the UAE a cheeseburger, regular fries with regular coke will cost you AED74 (KD6) https://www.in-dubai.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/five-guys-dubai-menu-prices.jpg

So KD5 would make it cheaper than Dubai and similar to the UK. Doesn’t seem like a ripoff.

you really cannot say five guys is the best burger joint in da street since shake shack is there, always the same cooking method, same bun, same cooking lvl (medium) same seasoning, juiciness, taste same every time, taste good and won’t make you feel sad for it

i tried five guys many times, in kuwait and dubai, every time i tried it my stomach start grinding like cement machine if you know what i mean, maybe because their oil or something idk.. i won’t try it again that is for sure
