There’s a restaurant in Crystal Tower in Kuwait City called Hala Hummus which I keep passing by on my way to my gym (Core Fitness, now called XAthletic moved there recently). I haven’t tried Hala Hummus yet but I love the way the interior looks. For some reason, I think because of the way the ceiling is arched but the space looks like a restaurant you’d find in an underground subway. As you can guess from the name, they specialize in hummus dishes so if you want more info, check out their instagram @halahummus_kw

I tried their beetroot falafel served with hummus and it was pretty good. I ordered from them through 6alabat until their listing suddenly disappeared. I thought they went out of business or something. Good to know they’re still around.

Yeah I’ve also been intrigued by their concept. I haven’t tried them yet, but their menu looks good and filling.
This place and their menu are just an incredible mindfuck.
They’ve got falafel and hummus which are Mediterranean but they also bizarrely enough have Mexican food and Rogan Josh which is Kashmiri!
So weird yet so cool.
Falafel and Hummus are Levatine/ Egyptian/ Middle Eastern food and NOT Mediterranean.
The Levant is in the Mediterranean.
And so are Spain and Italy which have nothing to do with Falafel and Hummus
