Johnny Rockets Philly Cheese Steak

I haven’t been to Johnny Rockets since they introduced the new menu so I was looking forward to see whats new. Since I never really paid attention to anything on their menu except for the burgers I couldn’t really tell what new items they added but I did spot one new burger and the Philly Cheese Steak which is what I decided to try. It wasn’t that bad (tastes much better than it looks) and its definitely a good substitute for the burger although I did find it a bit dry. The price of the Philly Cheese Steak is KD2.650.

Actually I decided to try this for the first time about 10 days ago and it wasn’t bad at all, quite decent actually, although i would’ve gone with a longer bun.

I’m not into junk food to be honest but Johnny Rockets isn’t really in that category, its good solid Americana food, the burgers in Kuwait are excellent (although the much larger Fuddies are still my faves) – the Vanilla malted shakes however are amazing (remember to ask for ‘malted’).

That looks horrible ;s .. i cant eat food that doesnt look good;p but since u enjoyed it i guess its not as bad as it looks? no still wont try it ..

on the other hand .. i love pizzas .. so im def. gona try that!

Umm..that doesnt look like the real philly they make here in the states. You are supposed to melt the cheese. That one just looks like a philly with no cheese, but with mozarella. And the onions are supposed to be fried with peppers, which is further mixed into the cheese and steak, hence making it all stick together. When you bite into it, you are supposed to feel it all. This philly cheese doesnt look so “united”

There’s no cheese on it. They’ll tell you there’s cheese on it, but there isn’t. When I complained, they actually told me, “the cheese gets absorbed into the bread. Next time, order it with the cheese on top.”

No, I’m not kidding.

Anyone who has ever had a cheese-steak sandwich knows that cheese is a primary ingredient, and you need to be able to see the cheese. No cheese, not a cheese-steak.
