Meme’s Curry is a Japanese curry restaurant that opened a few years back by two Kuwaiti chefs. It originally started off as a home business before opening their first location… in Rihab Complex. I was never a fan of the location for obvious reasons but a couple of weeks ago they opened up in a new location in The View, the same complex that houses Marks & Spencer and Whole Foods in Salmiya. So if you’ve been meaning to try them out but been put off with their original location, here is their new location on [Google Maps]

I actually was put off by their location…because…..Otakus.
Really good food – I just hope they can handle more orders at their new location, delivery was always hit & miss at the old one.
One of the most overrated (and pricey) places in Kuwait, but one of the few places that sell Japanese curry. So supply and demand I guess.
Almost everything ‘Kuwaiti’ owned with ‘Kuwaiti’ chefs will be pricey. It must be their Cordon Bleu training. The Q80 chef guy who sells basic shawerma charges 1 KD for his sandwiches so I think it’s more of a bragging right. I had a ‘Kuwaiti’ chef cook for me etc.
There are some exceptions here – Solo Napulitana probably has the best pizza in town; and it has a Kuwaiti chef.
