Princi Opening in Kuwait (Update)

Back in September I posted that the popular UK based Italian bakery Princi was coming to Kuwait but didn’t know where they were opening. Well, they’re opening in Avenues Phase 4 since the store hoarding went up recently in the Grand Avenues. Princi was created by the restaurateur Alan Yau who is behind other popular brands like Wagamama and Hakkasan.

We have enough very good local bakeries, I don’t see why we need a bakery that is overpriced just because it belongs to a white male. What we do need is a good cheese shop, currently only dean and deluca have a very good variety of high quality cheeses, I also wouldn’t mind a good coffee shop (not a café) or wine cellar (halal ones ofcourse) but definitely not a fast food restaurant or a bakery. Mark do you know any good cheese shops? The one in sha’ab was disappointing when I went in the summer.

Have you tried IKEA’s bakery? It’s pretty good. Just make sure to heat up whatever you’ve bought at home for like 5 min for better taste and freshness.

In my opinion hindough’s and baker&spice among others make extremely good bread. Hindough’s has a local baker who has a passion for her breads, her sourdoughs are really good.

Hindough’s is really good, check on insta. I’d love a bread making course. Plus you skipped my question about fromageries in Kuwait.

I live in rumaythia a.k.a mini Tehran, don’t insult me that best baker crap. Rumaythia is where it’s at.

It was empty, there was a huge AVEDA hoarding there but the space wasn’t being used by them, or at least they might have temporarily been using some of the space.
