Has absolutely nothing to do with Saudi. Its Tunisian/Morrocan and more widely North African.

Just thought you and your readers may be interested that Apple will open their stores in Dubai on the 29th of October. I think Apple is more popular in Kuwait than Dubai, but I wouldn’t hold my breath for it coming to Kuwait.
https://gulfnews.com/business/sectors/technology/apple-stores-to-open-in-uae-on-october-29-1.1601073
They’re not going to come to kuwait for the simple fact that apple doesn’t do partnerships yet alone hold a minority stake (49%) in their own shops which is what would have to happen if they came here. Unless of course Kuwait gives them an exemption like Dubai did https://www.arabianbusiness.com/apple-said-win-exemption-from-uae-foreign-ownership-laws-603337.html
Actually kuwait has a new rule that allows foreign company to have full ownership of the company. IBM was the first fully owned foreign company that opened in kuwait
Yeah I actually wrote that and then was like actually, with KDIPA now Apple could fully own the company here if they wanted to.
Can’t see what is the big deal with apple stores? Its not like they will be selling stuff that we don’t already have ubiquitous access to. I would personally be more excited to see microsoft open its stores in the gulf.
